“It looks like we have the last of the message today Zoe,” her mother said on the other end of the telephone.
“Alright. Read it out to me” Zoe requested.
“Will you go to dinner with me?” Jillian said.
Zoe could feel her tears beginning to pool in her eyes.
“Also, there is a location. It says something about a small hidden restaurant, gnocchi, and today’s date at 7:00 pm” Jillian said, flipping over the sheets of paper.
He wanted to take her back to their first date, that hidden restaurant, and her favorite dish, gnocchi gorgonzola.
This is why she couldn’t stop thinking about Dylan. He knew her through and through, Even though they had only been together a short while, he knew her better than the man she had spent over five years with.
For the first time in the last while, she was sure of what she had to do.
“Thank you, mom. I’m coming home” Zoe said.
“It's him isn’t it?” Jillian asked.
“It sure is mom. I will see you soon” Zoe said, smiling.
