Chapter 26 Past

"Where?... Where are they?" Liam asked after receiving this initial shocking news.

"We still haven't found out about their whereabouts," Samuel answered in a dejected tone.

"After leaving from the hospital Miss Anastasia didn't leave any tracks so it is hard to find out about her," he answered and assured Liam, "but you don't have to worry about it. I have made the entire Blood Legion search for them. We will quickly receive good news."

Liam clenched his fist, He just wanted to go out there and search for them himself.

He didn't know if they were in good shape or not. Did they get any food? What kind of life are they living?

He blamed himself entirely for his Nativity; if he was somewhat courageous...

If he was daring...

If only for once he had gone against his father's decision...

Maybe he was together with them at this time...

Maybe his life was happier...

Maybe everything was good...

Nevertheless, he doesn't have this 'Maybe' anymore.

He could only try to find them and judge the people because of whom his life turned out this way.

"Don't think about anything negative, I am sure wherever they are they must be fine!" Samuel consoles him telling him not to be pessimistic.

But even Samuel himself doesn't know if they are actually well or not. He just hopes for their goodwill otherwise he doesn't want to think about what Liam would do next.

He already has lost his parents and he couldn't bear to lose the one and only person he cares about the most.

His wife and now his children which he didn't know about till today!

So, he didn't want to think about any bad situation.

"Let's just pray we find them as quickly as possible!" Samuel said trying to be optimistic.

"I hope for that to happen soon." Liam nodded his head to Samuel.

"What are we going to do now about the big Family's issue? Do you want me to take action now?" Samuel changed the subject and asked about the matter at hand. "I am sure till now the entire city must have been informed about your return!"

Today was unexpected for them as Liam abruptly appeared out of the blue. But they will be alert next time he appears in front of them again.

Prepared for his arrival!

He won't be surprised if all the Top Family have found out about his return in just these few short hours.

Even though he didn't care about them. It's not like he feared them.

If he wanted he just needed one word and all these Families would disappear the next morning like they never existed before.

But because of Liam, he didn't do that.

If Liam wanted he could do the same but he didn't want them to die that easily! He wanted to feel the despair his father felt when talking to him last time when he told him to leave this place.

So, he preferred for them to live in fear every single day for their life; waiting for their death every single minute not knowing when it will come and claim their lives.

Rendering them to stay awake at night!

"No! We will talk about that later." Liam denied and told him, "Let's take me to the hotel room!"

Samuel nodded his head and started the car engine heading toward the hotel.

Arriving at the hotel, Liam went to his room straight into the bathroom to freshen up.

Coming out of the bathroom with still wet hair, he took a cigarette and lit it up and walked towards the balcony of his hotel room.

Trailing his figures at the balcony railing he looked up to the sky, emerging in memories of his family; the time he spent with his father and mother, Anna's nit-picking and sweet smile that little devil always tries to protect him from any adversities and cheer him up whenever needed.

Thinking about how Leo is doing right now? From what hardship he has to go through because of that incident? Did he find any job? Or did he get married or not?

He is sure that Madeleine didn't have spared him because Leo was like family to Liam and his parents; So, how can she not poison him.

[A/N: Here the word poison means not a drug but it is merely taken as a metaphor saying it also affected Leo's life!

There is a high chance that Madeline may have killed him to silence him.

Thinking about his Uncle Jack, (AKA Uncle Jack Scott)

He didn't know what condition his life was in right at this moment.

He missed his Uncle Jack a lot!

Jack Scott or as he calls him Uncle Jack, was his father's very close friend; and it was common for them to stay at each other's home because of their close relationship.

Once when he asked her why she follows him everywhere around she told him that when she grows up she will marry him and become his wife and Liam laughed at her after listening to her!

They were just like real siblings!

Thinking of this Liam couldn't help but laugh while puffing his cigarette.

It's been seven years since he last came into contact with them, so he naturally wants to visit them.

Uncle Jack was his father's most trusted person. He helped his father a lot in expanding their businesses all over the world and making them one of the influential business families in England if not the entire world.

And he also holds significant rights in the decision making of their company.

But after Madeline took over after his father, she confiscated all the shareholder shares and transferred them all to her and those of her helper families.

And Because Uncle Jack's income was entirely based on his father's company, it made him lose all his wealth overnight and he couldn't find any decent job at any other company.

As Madeline was slowly influencing the commercial market with the help of big Families people didn't try to go against her; not because of big families' influence but also because of her viciousness.
