C23 - Becoming Stronger II.

Lyanna nodded and she prepared to lie down on the floor, but before she even could sit down, Vidus roared at her.

"Ho, ho, ho! Stand up! What do you think?" He asked her in a deeper tone.

Lyanna just looked at the floor without opening her mouth.

"Go to the bedroom and sleep there." Vidus pointed at a door.

Lyanna didn't say a word again just nodded and entered the room.

'Huh, she was in a critical condition, but now ... maybe this is the deepest part of her life.' Vidus wiped the few drops of sweat down from his forehead. 'I wonder which branch of the royal family she belongs to ...'

While Lyanna went to sleep, Vidus started to reach into his office-like room, where tons of papers lay nearly everywhere.

The next day, before the sun fully rose in the sky, Lyanna walked out of the bedroom. She quickly noticed Vidus who just casually sipped something at a table.

"Ah, morning, Lyanna, Did you rest well?" Vidus asked her at the moment he realized her presence.

"Just call me Anna ..." Lyanna said.

She thought if they keep calling her by her real name, someone who was affiliated with the royal family can recognize her quickly.

"I understand. So, Anna, are you relaxed?" Vidus corrected himself and asked her again.

He stood up with little tired eyes from the chair while in his left hand he hold a yellowish scroll that seemed at least a hundred years old. He walked before Lyanna and his tiredness disappeared in an instant, changing his gaze into as serious as a heart attack.

"We will start your training right now."

While Vidus voice resembled a thundering fury, his eyes were filled with care and worry. He knew there will be not too much time since the incident with the monastery. He needs to make her ready at least. It was not a task he has been entrusted with, he simply felt this is his duty and responsibility.

"Give me your hand." Vidus ordered Lyanna.

She gave her right hand to Vidus, who gently put his index and middle finger on her wrist. Vidus started to pour his mana into her body. He closed his eyes to help him focus more.

Half a minute later he removed his fingers and sighed.

"This is a bit problematic ..." He scratched his head.

"Did you find something bad?" Lyanna asked him.

"I'm clueless. Your mana is less than an average aura user has, but how? You used your aura that much with this amount of mana, this is impossible!" He told with wide eyes.

"I can't use that right now, just this one ..." Lyanna replied and raised her right hand.

Above her right palm, a little sphere formed from a red liquid.

"Wha-... what is. That?" The words stuck on Vidus' tongue.

"It's my second aura." She answered emotionlessly.

"Se-se-se-se-..." Even the breathing became a challenge after he heard her words.

Before he nearly fainted into a coma caused by his surprise at Lyanna, Vidus regained his sense and opened the scroll that he held. He took a peek at its content and spread it out on the table.

"Do you ... tried anything that related to mana? Except using your aura." Vidus asked with wide eyes.

Lyanna shook her head as a no. Everything she did till this moment with her aura was controlled by her instinct.

Vidus turned his gaze at the darkened yellowish scroll on the table. His eyes opened as he finally realized what Lyanna told him.

'She has no foundation!!' He screamed inside his head with joy and quickly stepped before Lyanna and grabbed her both shoulders.

"Ly-... I mean Anna!" He was out of his mind at the moment.

He turned his and Lyanna's head towards the table and pointed at the scroll on it.

"Your first training will be that scroll! You need to read, learn and comprehend its content as much as possible!"

Lyanna just looked at the archaic paper without many expressions. She closed the distance between her and the table and her gaze just fixated on the letters on the scroll.

"It is an ancient scroll that was left behind by an otherworldly wanderer about two ... ? Maybe 3 hundred years ago. It was in the possession of the roy-... I mean an important family. And a few years ago I found it when I went outside of the city." Vidus tried to describe the history of the scroll.

"The scroll has a legend which is the one who can comprehend its content, it will become stronger. The person and its aura too. But I didn't understand it even I read it at least a thousand times ..." He scratched his head, admitting his incompetency.

But for a surprise, Lyanna already dived into the scroll's content.

'Where a pit collects the water, it nourishes the surroundings. The less the water, the less the plants. Dig a larger pit to fill more water into it, but before one does it, need to dry it to the fullest ...'
