Blown Away

Steph settled on a bench within view of Hong Gi's apartment. A crowd of reporters and fans stood outside his front door. Two large men in matching suits guarded the door.

She knew Hong Gi was waiting for her response, but this didn't feel like a texting moment. In truth, it felt like a jump into his arms and wrapping her legs around his waist moment. She would settle for something in the middle.

Pulling out her phone, she texted Hong Gi. He responded almost immediately.

Hong Gi: I'm here.

Steph: Can I come over?

Hong Gi: Not a good idea. Crowded outside. Did you read the note?

Steph: Yes.

Hong Gi: And?

Steph: Yes.

Hong Gi: Really?

Steph: I need to see you. Let me come over.

She was afraid he would say no, but she had to try. Even if he said no, she would—what—stalk him? Fight her way to the front of the crowd?

Hong Gi: Bad idea.

Steph: Can we meet somewhere then?
