Home with Luke

Luke plopped down on the couch as if he hadn't rested in days. In reality, he had slept the entire way home. Hong Gi and Steph carried in their bags and bypassed the living room in deference for taking their belongings to their respective rooms. Luke watched from his cushy viewpoint and debated how to proceed.

After the fiasco last night and this morning, he was surprised Steph hadn't run away as soon as the car rolled to a stop. No woman would put up with what he'd done, not a nice woman anyway. Although he had to admit, she seemed like a nice girl. Betty liked her, and he trusted Betty. If only she wasn't out to trap Hong Gi.

When Hong Gi didn't return after a few minutes, Luke migrated to his bedroom, where Hong Gi was sprawled on the bed.

"Tired?" Luke laid down next to him, resting his head on Hong Gi's shoulder.

"A little. I didn't get much sleep last night."

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay. When are you headed back to California?"
