Gym Confession

"Hey, do you know what's bothering Steph?" Matt asked Stella as they picked up water from the juice bar for Steph, Kimmy, Stella, and him.

"I sign a non-disclosure agreement with each client. You'll have to ask her."

"I have. She said she had a bad morning, but I can tell something is bothering her. It's not just a schoolgirl thing and her mooning over Hong Gi while he's out of town, is it?"

Stella gave him a hard stare. "Does that sound like something Steph would do?"

"No. I guess not."

"Then you have your answer."

"What about you? Can you answer questions about yourself?"

"I can."

"Then why won't you give me the time of day? Did I offend you? Am I not your type? What?"

Matt didn't mean to ask her that way, but he was at the end of his game and felt like he had nothing to lose. This was as much as she'd ever said to him, and only two words of it were about her. I can didn't tell him much.
