<p>Steph paused at the door to make sure she hadn't forgotten anything. Without Hong Gi there, she always felt like she was missing something important. Even after she reminded herself it was Hong Gi and he would be back in a few days, that nagging feeling stayed with her.</p>

<p>She opened the door and greeted Kimmy and Stella, who fell into step on each side of her. Her Amazonian shadows had become more possessive since Hong Gi left for California. Steph suspected he had something to do with that, but what could she say? He was paying the bill, and if it made him feel better, then she would give him this for at least a little longer, but she couldn't see them following her around forever.
