first day of school III

Alyva felt her soul leave her body. What did she do wrong? Why couldn't he see that she was better than that woman? She had liked him for more than 16 years. She had given it her best. She had even altered her appearance. Why didn't he like her? Why must she lose to a woman of unknown origin? Why didn't he even spare her a glance?

Jealousy took over her mind as she remembered the moments from the past. When she closed her eyes, she could imagine the indifference and coldness in his eyes. Tears subconsciously rolled down her eyes. When she opened her eyes, she wiped her eyes and left the restaurant.

The moment Aaron got inside his car, he called Mrs. Garcia.

[ " Hello?"]

" I have overestimated your abilities. I thought that you would be smarter than this Ms. Wright...tsk tsk", said Aaron.

[ " You--"]

" Quit acting like a clown and just enjoy the luxuries of being part of the Garcia family while it lasts"

[ " You should take your own advice. Stop offending me or else, when my son becomes the heir, I will make sure that you suffer a fate worse than death!"]

" Oooooh, I'm so scared. As if your idiotic son can lay a finger on me. He can't even manage the PR department, how will he get the Garcia clan to trust him enough to hand over the Garcia conglomerate to him?", Aaron mocked Elijah.

[ " You will regret everything one day!"]

" Yeah yeah. goodnight Ms. Wright. I hope you have nightmares", said Aaron before hanging up.

On the other side.

Mrs. Garcia threw her phone onto the ground along with an expensive vase in a fit of rage. As she sat down on the sofa slowly, she kept on taking deep breaths in an attempt to calm herself down. She clutched the dark blue pajamas she wore. She looked at the full-length mirror near the sofa. She stood up once again and walked towards the mirror.

Her naturally black hair was dyed multiple times to cover her grey hairs. Dark circles had formed around her eyes. Her chocolate brown eyes showed signs of tiredness. Her pale skin was slowly wrinkling. Her hands were dry and coarse.

' I don't have much time. I must act as soon as possible'

Mrs. Garcia thought before she walked towards the bed and slipped under the comfortable and cozy covers and laid her head on the pillow hidden under a black silk pillow case.
