FILE.36

Rosie didn't see Cedric at breakfast.

He'd already gone to work.

Despite Calypso's assurances that no, Cedric was not angry at her, he just had a very early meeting at work, Rosie still couldn't help but blame herself for losing her cool.

Then he was gone for a few days.

And despite Maribel telling her that their employer had to be out of state to visit one of their branches because of an emergency situation, Rosie still couldn't feel that somehow, Cedric was avoiding her. And that somehow, it was definitely because she had lost her cool.

So when Calypso came up to her bedroom to inform her that Cedric had come home, Rosie almost forgot to put a robe over the short nightgown she was wearing when she bounded out of bed and ran out the door, ignoring Calypso's laughter behind her. A thrill shot through her. She missed him, that was for certain.

Cedric was talking to Dustin downstairs when Rosie came skidding to a halt in front of him.
