FILE.64

Rosie wasn't answering her phone.

Cedric had wanted to tell her that he had persuaded his mother to visit some other time.

Calypso wasn't answering hers either.

But knowing her, she must be busy preparing the house for his mother's arrival. She was always nervous around his mother despite both mother and son assuring her there was nothing to be nervous about. He couldn't really fault her. His mother was quite the character and could be overwhelming to some.

"I'm on my way to your house."

Those words, coming from his mother, had Cedric's gut tightening sharply along with his body, making him feel instantly sick. Cussing a few choice words inside his head, he was out of the elevator he'd just taken a step into and was moving to the exit.
