(The evening before the attack....)
"I missed you." Nin muttered, tight in Gael's arms.
"I missed you too." He said back.
She could feel him start to shiver, the chill of the spring night air clinging to their wet clothes.
"I'm sorry for getting you wet." She chuckled, tears streaking down her face.
"Don't worry about it." He gently moved away from the embrace, grasping her shoulders. "Let's go inside."
As they came inside, Mrs. White insisted that they both take a warm bath in their quarters, but as soon as she managed to split them, she grasped Nin by the shoulders. Her touch seemed colder than that of Gael's. She already missed him.
"What did you manage to find out?"
Ah. So the bath was just a pretext to single her out. Nin should have expected this. After all, Mrs. White was all bussines. She had forced Nin's hand for a single room inside their giant Manor. Manipulating her into putting her life at risk on the off chance she'd find out something about Mya.
