Poison
Aria's P O V
I woke up with a painful throb in my head. My body feels so tired, I'm weak.
I look around the familiar surrounding, where am I?
Oh, this is my parents' house and I am in my room.
But wait, how did I get here, I was in the hospital, right? I was in the hospital when I suddenly got angry and started shifting.
Wait, I started shifting, I did?
The door opened and Lara came in with a tray.
"How are you doing?" Lara smiled at me.
"What are you doing here?" I questioned.
"Well, I was informed that you got yourself injured and since there is no one else to help you. I came to help you feel better, what are we friends for?" She dropped the tray of food beside me.
"Where are my parents?" I implored.
"They are still at the hospital. Your mom isn't fully recovered but her recovery is still pretty fast." Lara responded.
"What happened to me, what do you mean I got injured?" I lifted my eyes to stare at her.
"You..you got angry with your parents and slammed your head against the wall then passed out. That's what happened." She said.
"That's a lie, I shifted. I shifted into something," I told.
"That must be one of your dreams then. You always say that, I mean it's not real." She tried convincing me.
"But no, it's not a lie. It's real. I...I shifted, my claws and fangs elongated, I grew taller and hairier." I revealed.
She sighed and sat down on the bed.
"I think having dreams for a long time is making you think they are real which is far from being real. If you indeed shifted, shift again then." She stared at me with expectant eyes.
I got down from the bed and try making the thing happen again but nothing.
Yesterday I got angry at my parents and that happened. Maybe it'll happen anytime I get angry at them. I don't know.
And about getting angry at them, I need to apologize and ask them about this.
I need to see my parents. I went to my wardrobe and changed into a clean dress before moving out.
I ran as my strength could carry me and before you know it got to the hospital. I stopped in front of their ward and slowly turned the doorknob. I entered to see only mom lying there.
Where is the dad? I closed the door and sat down beside her.
"Mom, I'm so sorry about what happened. I don't know what came over me. I don't know why I reacted that way. Did I scare you?"
I stared at her sleeping face to see that she was deeply asleep. I sighed and took her hand in mine.
"I'll try to control my temper next time. I'll believe you guys too. Whatever you say I'll believe it because you guys are my parents." I kissed her knuckles and sniffed.
"I think it's time for me to go back to the palace. I also have to clean the crown prince's floor. Bye, mom." I left her then stood up.
"Bye," I waved again. I got out from the ward to see dad coming towards the ward, once he saw me, a look of fear crossed his feature.
"Dad," I called. Ignoring whatever expression he has on.
"Y..yes my daughter," he replied.
I went to him and pulled him into a warm hug.
"I couldn't hug mom so I'm hugging you. Dad, I'm sorry about what happened, I'll come back again when mom is fully recovered. I need to go now." I whispered to him.
"Of course. Of course." He bobbed his head.
"Dad, I love you and mom okay? I promise I'll never do anything that will hurt you willingly but if one day I lost my temper like I did yesterday, chain me until I cool down." I declare.
He shook his head. "No, I can never do that to my daughter. Never! I can never chain you down, it's bad for our wolves. It torments and leaves us traumatized." Dad shook his head violently. It means he won't ever do it.
"Okay," I nodded.
"Then I'll always try my possible best to control my anger. I'll leave now." I smiled at him before moving far from him.
He stood there and just continued watching me as I disappeared from the hospital.

I was back to cleaning the west wing as usual when the wicked Betty walked up to me with a sick smile on her face.
"You, I want you to go down. Go boil me water, put it in a glass cup after and bring it up to me." She ordered.
"Okay." I dropped my cleaning tools and went down to do what she asked me.
Getting back up, I couldn't find her along the hallway and figured out that she'll be in the crown prince's office.
I knocked at the door but no reply came.
"The water you requested is here miss," I shouted loud enough for her to hear but nothing so I slowly opened the door and peeped in.
"Miss?" I can see her holding someone who I'm guessing is the crown prince.
But why isn't she replying to me, why is she not saying a word to me?
"Miss?" I called again.
"Come in." She finally said.
I opened the door and got in then slowly walked up to her, she is sitting on the crown prince's legs, curling up his hair as he read a series of papers laid down across his table.
"Give it to me." She extended her hand and I gently placed it on her but what happened next shocked me.
She slapped the cup towards me and the water poured on me, a few drops spilling on the paper the prince was reading.
"What the hell?" She stood up from his legs.
"You clumsy idiot. How dare you spill water on the project his Highness is working on?" She shouting but right now I'm more concerned about myself.
My skin is hurting bad. It could peel if I touch it. I made the water hot just the way she ordered it.
"And I didn't even order you to get me water but a cup of coffee. You are not only deaf but only stupid."
"How dare you?" She kept yelling and only stopped yelling when the crown prince spoke up.
"Leave her." He said and the evil Betty turned to look at him.
"But my..."
"Leave her. You, get out." He turned to me and ordered.
I immediately ran out of the office and down to my room to get my burn treated but before I could get there, the burn already disappeared along with the pain.
Oh well, I'm glad. I sighed staring at my arm.

Betty's P O V
"Betty, why do you keep pacing about, what's the matter?" Emma asked, concerned.
"Yes, tell us." Ella also spoke up.
They are twins and my best friends, they also come from a powerful family although not as powerful as mine.
"It's one little tiny bitch. I think she's going to be a problem for me. To my plans!" I yelled furiously.
"One little tiny bitch? Hmm, may I know where she's from?" Ella stood up and walked to me.
"She's from nowhere. She's just a maid and she's planning on stealing the prince from me." I slammed my hands hard on the table in front of me.
Emma and Ella burst out laughing which annoys me.
"Why are you laughing? Is it funny?" I half yelled.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry but this is funny. How can a mere maid steal the prince from you?" Ella laughed.
"From what I know, the crown prince doesn't fûck with low life, he stays away from them. Even the king won't let him free if he tries to associate himself with a maid." Emma scoffed.
"No, but I feel that she is under the cover of a maid to steal him from me. Look, he was supposed to engage me yesterday but didn't show up. He didn't come to engage me, it's all her, that slut!" I slammed my hands hard on the table again.
"Wait, I think you should calm down. I don't think a mere maid can influence the crown prince's decision, he'll come to engage you." Emma tried calming me down.
My phone starts ringing and Ella hands it over to me. I picked it up and placed it over my left ear.
"Speak!" I ordered.
"Ma'am, I..have a little information to pass to you."
"Go on, speak," I ordered getting interested.
"Okay, okay, I'll call you back after I've figured out something." I disconnected the call and dropped the phone.
"What is it, who is it?" Ella asked with interest.
"It's a maid I planted to watch Damon, I won't allow the maid or any other person to steal him away from me. Especially that maid, I'll look for a way to make her disappear." I vowed through gritted teeth.
"What are your plans then?" Emma queried standing at akimbo.
"I don't know yet, but when I'm done with her by tomorrow, she'll regret ever making herself known to him. That fool, she doesn't know who she is dealing with." I smirked staring at the ceiling.

Aria's P O V
"Aria, come here. Take this and hand it over to the second madam. She requested for tea," a maid called to me.
"Uh...you know I'm quite new here, I don't know who you are referring to," I told her truthfully.
"You don't know Madam, the one that talks to us every morning?" She stares at me weirdly.
"Oh, I know her. But where is her room?" I probed.
"The 5th floor, go. You'll see number 5 written on the door." She urged.
"Yes, I collected the cup of tea placed on a tray and started leaving." I searched for the room and soon got to it.
I knocked and the door opened, "come in." A maid said and I went in.
"Let me check the tea first," she opened the teeth and placed the bottom of a spoon in it before bringing the spoon out. She gasped seeing the colour of the spoon change.
"What, did you poison madam?" She cried out.
"What?" It was my turn to scream.
"P.. poisoned?" I shrieked with my eyes wide open.
"Madam, the maid knelt in front of her. Thank goddess I was here to check the tea, madam, the worst could have happened." The maid cried out again.
The elderly woman who might be close to 60 turns to look at me.
"You...why did you do it?" She turns to look at me.
"No..no, I have no idea. A maid gave me the tea to give to me. I swear I didn't poison it, she'll be the one. Not me. Never!" I quickly knelt to defend myself.
"Your liar, you hate madam and want her dead." The maid turned and glared at me.
"You didn't expect me to be here to taste the tea, do you?" She fired at me.
"I didn't poison the tea," I shouted back.
"Why could I want to kill her, I gain nothing from killing her. I gain nothing." I screamed out desperately.
The door burst open and about four guards rushed in.
"Take her with her and interrogate her. Find out who sent her to kill me." The madam coughed before instructing the guards.
"No, I didn't do it. I didn't put the poison, I didn't." I yelled out as the guards forced me up and carried me out of the room.
"Let me down, I didn't poison the tea, I didn't," I screamed out, trying to free myself from the guards.
By now most of the maids already gathered because of my loud screaming.
I can see Lara staring at me in surprise.
"I didn't do it. I didn't poison the tea." I kept crying out.
