Chapter 7: "Big pa...where is Anna...?",
Wen group.
Alex's Office.
"Sir please take a seat. Boss will be here in a moment.", Rio spoke as Lucas entered Alex's office along with his P.A Tony.
After a while.
Alex walked in as Rio opened the door. Rio and Tony excluded themselves as Alex walked towards the sofa where Lucas is waiting.
Seeing Alex seating...Lucas pulled out 2 different sets of files and placed them in front of him.
"One is my agreement with you...and the other is my sister's authority. That means the moment you sign these she will legally be your family and all you have to do is take her to the marriage bureau and sign the marriage certificates.", Lucas spoke.
"Why are you so eager to send your sister to me...?", Alex spoke as he raised his brow.
"No reason.", Lucas didn't care to reply.
"You seem to be too caring for this cousin sister of yours.", Alex spoke as he took the files to examine.
Lucas's hands stiffened...what could he do...? Was he worth being called her real brother...? Will she hate him if she knows he's her real brother...? He didn't dare to think much...now he had bigger things to plan. So for now he could only be her COUSIN BROTHER.
"Alex Wen I will not interfere in this marriage for coming five years...but I hope you'll know your limits.", Lucas spoke.
Although he gave in because of his little sister's liking...he still didn't like the idea of Alex being his bro-in-law. It's mainly because he knew how dangerous this man in front of him was.
"Don't worry...I don't have any interest in women at the moment...not to talk about a little girl.", Alex scoffed as he pulled out his pen and signed both the documents.
"She's 20 and you are 25, don't act like an old man.", Lucas bluntly spoke as he stood up and walked towards the door.
Alex saw him walk away as a rare smile appeared on his handsome face.
Meanwhile.
"Gary she's really fine right...?", Old Chen spoke as he held Mia's hand.
"She is Uncle Chen. James, she can be discharged.", Gary smiled and answered.
"My darling is finally willing to come to my home...James ask the driver to start the car before this little devil changes her mind.", Old Chen spoke as James, Gary, Anna along Mia let out a small chuckle.
Anna saw the scene and couldn't help but wonder about Mia's fate. She has a doting grandpa and father who loves her to this extent even if he didn't know she was his real daughter...yet she has to live with those devils and suffer all the pain. She felt that God was really unfair.
Anna took Mia's hand as they walked out, The Rolls-Royce Phantom was waiting for them. With Old Chen's constant urge to sit beside Mia. Anna choose to drive back in her car and James sat at the front.
At Nirvana.
"Aunt I am nervous for some reason...what do you think grandpa has to discuss...?", Olivia spoke as she held Penny's hands.
"Dear stay cool...Me, your Uncle, a brother who dotes on you and a father who loves you to the core than a grandpa who always gives in to you...we all love you what more are you afraid of...?", Penny spoke as she patted Olivia's hand.
"But Mia has this all too...!", Olivia sighed.
"Dear you know I love you more than my daughter right...?", Penny spoke again as he patted her head.
"Yes, Aunt is the best. Because of you, I've never felt sad that I didn't have a mom.", Olivia smiled.
"Good that you know.", Penny smiled.
She felt bad for her daughter that she had to live a life that isn't hers...but she didn't have any regret...because Mia's birth is Noble.
The cars reached Nirvana.
"Darling...let me carry your bag pack.", Grandpa spoke as he took the bag pack from her hand and then extended his hand for her to get down.
"Gramps if you spoil me too much...then I will become evil and ask you for a piggyback ride or princess hug.", Mia joked as he climbed down from the car holding Old Chen's hand.
"Although your Gramps is Old man now back then I used to give piggyback and princess hug for my wife...although you look like a carbon copy of her...I can't seem to dare. What if I die before I see your children...?", He smiled as he held her hand and walked towards the entrance.
"Hubby you will stay alive till I become old.", Mia spoke in an old woman's voice...it strangely resounded her grandma's tone.
"Darling you do this every time...how are you so good at imitating your grandma's voice...?", Old Chen couldn't help but ask.
"That is because you made her hear and see all videos of your wife since she was small.", James spoke as he saw the Old Man in annoyance. He wanted to bring Mia in but this Old Man was stingy and didn't let anyone come near her Granddaughter.
"Big pa...where is Anna...?", Mia couldn't find Anna as she turned around to check.
"Here here...I was parking.", Anna spoke as she walked towards them.
"Daughter-in-law call Lucas to come home...we have an announcement to make.", James spoke.
"Alright Father.", Anna replied as she pulled out her phone to message Lucas.
"Why so secretive...?", Mia glanced at the 3 people.
Before they could reply...Two luxurious cars drove into Nirvana.
"Old Wen and Old Lee are here.", Old Chen smiled.
Mia glanced at the cars and gave a look to Anna. Anna shrugged and turned her back at her. Mia was speechless as she focused her attention back on the people who just walked out of the car.
The two men along with their secretaries walked towards the people who are standing at the entrance.
"Old Chen...good that we are on time.", Old Wen gave a teasing smile.
"Grandpa Wen...Grandpa Lee...", Mia greeted them with a smile.
"Dear, how are you...? Why were so careless...good that Anna sent you to hospital on time.", Old Lee spoke as he walked towards Mia and pulled her towards his side and examined her body, as a renowned doctor he has his doubts and worries.
"How is she...? Is she alright...?", Old Wen worriedly spoke.
Old Chen gritted his teeth and stood aside. His heart hurt that he realized once he put out the news of Mia's marriage she will not be exclusively his only granddaughter but also Old Wen's.
"She is alright...looks like Gary has done a good job as treating you.", Old Lee smiled in satisfaction.
"Grandpa Wen...Grandpa Lee, I'm really fine...Thank you for caring.", She smiled as she bowed to both elders.
"Okay Okay let's walk inside there are people waiting for us.", James spoke as he also seem to be in a bad mood.
James also didn't know why...? He hated the idea of Mia getting married...he hated the fact that she's going to have some other men protect her from now on. Yet he knew his limit...he was just her uncle and could only see the scene as an audience.
Everyone walked in.
"Dad.", A sound was heard before anyone could react Olivia landed in James's arms.
"Princess why so hurry...what if I didn't catch you...?", James worriedly spoke as he held Olivia like a precious gem.
"Olivia dear my heart skipped a beat...be careful don't make this old man worry.", Old Chen spoke as he released Mia's hand and walked towards Olivia.
Mia stood there as she stared at the scene. Anna who just saw what happened couldn't help but feel hurt for Mia. Olivia was always a sly schemer like this...she did everything she could to gain everyone's attention. Anna was sure it is one of the stupid acts like always.
It was always the same...yes the people here doted on Mia...but one small scream from Olivia is enough for everyone to abound Mia. Anna also knew why...? Because Olivia is the dearest granddaughter and daughter to two women who were dead on the day she was born.
James' mother had an accident and James' wife died on the operation bed...both loved the baby girl and gave up their entire wealth and wellness for her.
Anna felt helpless this love and attention should have been Mia's...the care and love should have been Mia's. James' father's love should have been Mia's. Anna walked towards Mia and held her hand who was standing like a lost kid.
Old Wen and Old Lee saw the scene and couldn't help but feel heartache for Mia.
"I'm fine dad...I know you will never let me fall.", Olivia smiled.
Just then Old Chen realized his hand was empty and stared back at Mia...he saw Mia gently smiling as Anna whispered. Old Chen couldn't but feel guilty. He knew he was wrong at the moment...but his wife loved James's daughter so much that she gave up her life and sent James' wife to the hospital...so he couldn't help but involuntarily feel scare when Olivia did the earlier action.
But he dearly knew whom he loved more...? Yet no matter what Olivia was his Achilles heel.
He walked back towards Mia.
"Sorry, Darling I didn't mean to leave your hand..." Before he could explain.
"Old Chen it's fine...I will hold her hand.", Old Wen walked and held Mia's hand.
Mia was also shocked as she didn't expect that action from Old Wen. So was everyone in the room.
Old Chen tightened his fists. He cursed himself for being a careless person.
"Good that this happened. Old Chen, I will announce the good news now.", Old Wen spoke making everyone stare at the situation in shock.
Old Wen is a top legendary businessman and a few of the world's most influential people. He is known for creating history as he established the Wen group that now under his grandson's leadership the group has reached into one of the top corporations in the world.
Old Chen felt like his heart was broken into pieces, James felt like his heart was pierced into pieces...meanwhile remaining people stare at the scene in confusion.
Old Wen didn't let go of Mia's hand and pulled her into the middle of the hand. When Anna was to follow a handheld hers as she turned to see that Old Lee smiling at her.
"Dear don't butt in...Mia deserves to be happy. Let Old Wen announce it.", Old Lee spoke.
"Grandpa does it have to be like this...? Why can't Olivia be the chosen one...?", Anna couldn't help but ask.
"If I have to pick a girl I will definitely go with Mia...she is a gem and her existence itself gives people happiness.", Old Lee spoke as he walked towards the hall.
