I Love You, Brother

Part 30

Meanwhile, Bayu was desperately trying to hold back his smile when he heard Dora's whimpering.

"Brother, please don't sulk, yes, you can kiss the cheek." Bayu turned to look at Dora with a smile.

"Really?" Dora nodded and hugged Bayu's body hiding his flushed face.

Bayu stroked Dora's hair lovingly. He knew that his wife was still very innocent in her behavior and heart. Bayu feels very lucky and promises in his heart that he will always look after and make Dora happy forever. Moreover, Bayu also doesn't want to disappoint his best friend Malik.

"So can you really kiss the cheek?" asked Bayu softly. Dora nodded although still hiding her face in Bayu's arms.

"Is it okay on the lips?" Haha! Dora looked up at Bayu's face, then smiled and nodded.

------------

Five years later.

"Mama!" Dora smiled welcoming her son Hafis who had just returned from school. Hafis hugged his mother then kissed his cheek. Dora cupped Hafis' face with both hands. Her face and smile are very similar to her husband's Bayu.

"You must be hungry, let's eat! Mama and oma just cooked your favorite chicken soup." Dora took Hafis' hand then Hafis went into his room to change clothes.

Even though he is only 4 years old and still attending early childhood education, Hafis is able to take care of himself. Starting from bathing, getting dressed and tidying up the room he can do it himself.

"Ra, so you are going to Salmah's place this afternoon?" Mom asked as she left the room.

"So Ma, it's Mufti's son's birthday. Bayu will also come there after work." answered Dora.

"Mom, huuuu." Dora and her mother were shocked to hear the sound of crying from inside the room.

"Marwah ma," said Dora.

Dora rather ran to the room, because her youngest child Marwah was crying. Apparently Marwah woke up from his sleep.

"Cup cup cup. Here mama carry, why are you crying mama's girl?" Marwah was silent when his mother carried him. Dora led him out of the room to the dining table.

"Let's eat first, it's brother Hafis eating." said Dora. He put Marwah on a special seat for small children. Then he sat down next to his two children. "Brother have you read the prayer meal yet?"

"Yes Ma, with Grandma earlier." replied Hafis while continuing to chew his food.

"Good, smart boy." Dora said while stroking Hafidz's head.

"Adek is also good at eating alone!" Marwah doesn't want to lose asking to be praised.

"Yes, my sister is smart, I can eat myself."

Dora also stroked Marwah's head making Marwah jump with joy. Mama smiled at the behavior of her two grandchildren. He really enjoyed playing with them. Especially papa, when papa is at home, Marwah and Hafis are very pampered by papa.

You know, they only have their only child, Dora. The house is often quiet when papa is out of town on duty and Dora is busy with school. So Dora and Bayu chose to stay at Dora's parents' house. Even though they have bought their own house.

—----------------

"Dora, Umi's gone crazy, you know!" umi welcomes the arrival of Dora and her children.

"Assalamualaikum Umi."

"Waalaikumsalam, how come Bayu didn't come." asked Umi Salmah.

"Still working Mi, there is a trial this afternoon," answered Dora.

"Come on, brother Salim and Oma Salmah!" Hafis greeted umi Salmah, Marwah who was in my arms also didn't want to lose.

"Oh, your son is smart, Ra. How old is Marwah, Ra?"

"Next month will be 2 years Mi," answered Dora.

"Ehh Dora and the children have come," Amelia greeted Dora.

"How are you Amelia?" asked Dora while sipping cipika.

"Alhamdulillah, you are healthy, you are more beautiful wearing this hijab, you know Ra!"

"Heem, mama looks like aunt Amel you know!" exclaimed Hafis.

"Come on, let's look in the mirror, let's go Ra!" asked Amelia curiously.

They went into the room while Marwah was being carried by Salmah's mother.

"MashaAllah, Hafis Ra is right. Now our faces are very similar. But you seem cuter, Ra."

Dora just smiled at Amelia's words. He already knew because the Mufti had said it before.

------------------

"Are the kids asleep Ra?" asked Bayu.

"It's okay, how's your work today going?"

Dora asked too. Bayu, who was working on something on his laptop, suddenly closed it and grabbed Dora's hand. Dora complied, sitting next to her husband who immediately hugged her and then kissed the top of her head. Dora returned Bayu's hug more tightly.

"This week, brother can be more relaxed, because many cases were heard last week." Bayu explained.

"Thank God, I'll let you relax more. Look at your face, it's like grandpa."

"But like Korean grandpa, right?" Bayu replied while blinking his eyes.

"Ihhh flirt, watch out if you're flirty out there!" said Dora.

"How can you want to be flirty outside, if your beloved wife at home is still like this abege. Is it annoying, you know?"

Alhamdulillah, with who bro?"

"With Ratna the nurse. Now Malik can sit in a wheelchair."

"Alhamdulillah, Dora is relieved that Malik has finally found his soul mate."

"So all this time you still feel guilty like that?"

"It's not like that, bro, Dora means that Malik can finally be happy too." Dora replied with a frown.

"I'm sorry brother, brother is too jealous. After all, who is not super jealous if you have a beautiful, sweet and adorable wife like this."

"Continue to praise, watch out if it reaches Dora's ear with one big one!" Bayu laughed at Dora's words. Dora is still magical and special in Bayu's eyes.

-----------------

"Congratulations, Malik, I hope Samawa will last for generations!" said Dora as she greeted Malik and Ratna on the aisle.

"Thank you Ra," replied Malik.

Then Malik hugged Bayu who was behind Dora. I don't know what they were talking about but Malik and Bayu's eyes were both teary when they finished hugging. Mama and Papa Dora were also present to congratulate the bride and groom.

Malik and Bayu's college friends were also present to offer their congratulations and blessings. Malik's wedding turned into a reunion because they had agreed to come together.

The husbands talk about their work while the wives discuss the development of their respective children. Dora is grateful in her heart to be able to feel happiness like now.

To be continued.
