Chapter 3: A Mysterious Forest

After Garp heard that Luffy was missing he was enraged

''WHAT DO YOU MEAN, HE IS MISSING" yelled Garp at all the bandits

''YOU HAD ONLY ONE JOB'' Garp's face was turning red

''If it wasn't for Ace, I would have executed you already. You better take good care of Ace, you hear!'' said Garp with a stern look

''YES'' all the bandits replied at the same time

*Scene Break*

We see Luffy somewhere near the river, face-first on the ground. He looked dead until.

''ught'' water came out of Luffy's mouth in a straight line then fell on Luffy's face, waking him up.

Standing up like an arrow, Luffy looked around confused.

''What happend'' until the memories of when he fell into the river came

''What was I even thinking, running after a person that spat in my face the first time we met'' said Luffy in a quiet voice

''Now that I know I am alive, I will do what I promised myself'' Luffy said in a louder voice

Luffy looked around and asked ''so where am I''

Luffy saw a forest so he started walking in the direction of the forest. Entering the forest he heard a sound behind him and turned, but there wasn't anything. So he continued walking in the same direction as before.

He heard it again and turned a second time, but there wasn't anything still.

'What the hell' he thought

He continued walking, but when he heard the sound again, it annoyed him. He turned to the direction of the sound and walked to a bush.

Suddenly a a white flash was seen. Luffy jumped back and looked to see what almost hit him.

A white rabbit with red eyes was right in front of him.

'Just a rabbit' thought Luffy and letting his guard down.

Luffy and the rabbit stared at each other for a while until in a flash the rabbit jumped at Luffy

Luffy was surprised, because he didn't think a rabbit could be this fast.

Luffy evaded the attack just in time not to be hit in the heart, but got hit in the shoulder

''Why did it hurt, I am made out of rubber dammit'' Luffy immediately got his gaurd up and looked back at the creature

It stared at Luffy with its ruby red eyes. Luffy was ready for anything.

When the rabbit attacked him again, Luffy thought of a way out, because he knew he wasn't a match for this white rabbit.

Luffy evaded the attack just in time and the rabbit landed behind him. He immeditately turned around. 5 seconds passed and the rabbit launched at Luffy.

'Does it need 5 seconds to attack a second time' Luffy thought

'Lets test it' when Luffy barely got out of the rabbit's attack, he looked to see the rabbit standing in one place.

'It really does need time to cool off' Luffy knew this was his only chance. He rushed at the rabbit and grabbed a tree with his palm. His arm started to stretch. Luffy ran with all his strength close to the rabbit and released his grip on the tree. His hand came back to him and passed him, heading in the direction of the rabbit.

''Gomu-Gomu no Pistol'' screamed Luffy with all his might

His fist hit the rabbit directly and send it flying into a tree. Luffy fell down on his back, exhausted.

''ha..ha....I did...ha..ha..it'' he blacked out after saying that

After 30 minutes he woke up.

''I defeated the rabbit, hell yea'' yelled Luffy

After the yell, Luffy looked for the rabbit and found it on the ground next to a tree.

''I will cook this for dinner'' said Luffy

''Wait'' suddenly thought of something

''Why is this rabbit so strong, am I too weak or is this rabbit too strong'' Luffy questioned and looked at the rabbit that was now in his hands

''Whatever I will think about it later. I am too hungry to think'' Luffy said and started walking

''Now to find a good spot for a camp'' Luffy started looking for a good place

''Perfect'' Luffy found a cave which was uninhabited

Luffy walked in the cave and placed the rabbit on one of the stones. After that he got out and collected some dry sticks and dry leaves.

'Its good I learned some survival skills when gramps left me in that forest' Luffy said in his mind

After Luffy came back to the cave he placed the staicks and leaves in one place, but took two sticks out of them and started rubbing one of the sticks onto the other one. Time passed and Luffy was able to get a small fire, he quickly got some of the leaves and let them burn. After that Luffy placed some of the sticks on top of the leaves and started blowing into the fire. Soon after the fire grew big and stable.

''Phew'' Luffy was relieved that he was able to get it on his first time.

''Now time to cook this rabbit'' Luffy looked at the rabbit with star eyes

He placed the rabbit on one of the stick and started rotating it when it was neaded

20 minutes passed and the meat was ready. Luffy devoured it as soon as it was ready.

''Even if it was not a big amount, it still filled my stomach'' Luffy said while rubbing his belly

He got up after some time and headed outside of the cave. He looked up to see the moon.

''I will train hard, because i want to get out of this place and adventure into the outside world. I can see this is not a normal place, even a rabbit was this strong. What will a bear or a tiger be like, I can't imagine. Still I will train hard and defeat every beast that gets into my why of becoming THE KING OF PIRATES'' Luffy said to the moon and as if the moon heard him it shined lighter

He got back inside the cave and made a simple bed out of leaves. He fell asleep very fast, it was a tiring day for him.

The next day, he woke up when the sun was still rising. But there was a surprise waiting for him outside.
