Getting Prettier Everyday.

Jada sat down on the dresser placed in her room, checking herself out in the mirror. Her long straight blonde hair which she got from her parents was packed in a ponytail suiting her pretty round cheeks.

Her mom Jane was a blondie with blue eyes, her dad Jordan was also a blondie too but with amber eyes. Jada and Joe looked more like Jordan than Jane.

Jason was the one that took the features of his mom, which Jada envied him of. She was the only girl in the family so she wanted to look like her mom but it seemed like nature cheated her on that.

She added a little touch of mascara to her eyelashes to make them look thicker and darker, keeping the mascara on the top of the dresser cabinet. She also applied light foundation on her cheeks, and below her neck to blend with the yellow solid sleeveless smocked tube dress she put on.

Jada wasn't the type of girl to put on make-up, she preferred having her natural face on all the time but thanks to Lewis who came back and wanted to take her out for a date. She decided to put on makeup, at least most girls do it whenever preparing for dates with their boyfriends.

Satisfied with the amount of foundation she applied on the top of her sharp-pointy nose, cheeks and below her neck, she put it back inside her make up kit and brought out a faded pink lip gloss.

Applying it on her upper little soft lips, she blended it on her lower lip making sure they both blended together. Getting up from the dresser, she moved back slightly to check herself out.

"This isn't me" Jada let out a polite smile and spinned around. Going back to her dresser, she packed every single piece of makeup left on the top of the cabinet of the dresser into her make up kit.

Sitting on her bed, she slid her foot into the sneaker placed in front of her bed and did the same to her other foot after being done with the other foot. She took her spectacle and settled it comfortably on the top of her nose to fit her daring amber eyes .

Jada took a glance at herself in the mirror of the dresser one more time, satisfied with the look she had. Her lips sizzled in excitement.

"Time to go".

---------------------

Jason could be seen playing video games with Lewis who's gaze was too drawn to the screen of the TV binded on the wall of the living room.

"Going somewhere?" Jane was the first to notice Jada climbing down the stairs leading to the living room and asked her.

"It's a date mom"

"With Lewis?" Jane asked her.

"Yea"

"Okay, but don't stay out too long" Jane nodded and walked to her room.

"I won't".

Lewis was really making Jada happy since he came back, it seemed their mother and daughter relationship improved a little thanks to Lewis who made her happy all the time.

Jane never talked to Jada about what happened at Lewis' welcome back party, she didn't want to bring up topics that might change her mood or cause harm to their mother and daughter relationship that was already improving.

Jada attempted to walk over to the breakfast bar in the kitchen but stopped as her eyes rested on James and Lewis who were playing video games in the living room. His attention was too drawn to the game without even noticing when Jada spoke with her mom neither did Jason too.

"Hi lewy" Jada called him, closing her eyes and expecting him to say one or two things about her, but to her surprise she popped one eye open and noticed he didn't even look at her as his gaze was still glued to the screen intently, playing video games with Jason.

Mad at Lewis ignoring her, she scoffed, and made her way to the breakfast bar in the kitchen. opening a plate of food covered and kept on the table which seemed to be hers, she sniffed it. It was a zucchini and prosciutto egg muffins, the food was too alluring to her so she had to take a bite from it.

"Not bad" Jada munched on the food, its sweetness got to her brain, totally forgetting, moments ago when she asked her mom whether Jason had poisoned it. she might not be on good terms with Jason but he sure had good cooking skills.  She complimented on the food.

She ate the remains left on her hand and wanted to eat up the rest since Lewis was still busy playing video games with Jason.

But staring and studying the both of them closely, jealousy ignited inside of her.

Their kitchen wasn't far from their living room, so Jada could see the both of them perfectly.

The scene they were displaying, laughing, and giving each other playful punches at the body while playing the game irked her.

Yesterday, Jason apologized to her and wanted to be friends with her and today being Sunday was a day she wanted, to be special for her.

He was playing video games with her boyfriend. To her, it was as if her brother was stealing her boyfriend away from her again as he did when they were little.

Lewis and Jason were best friends since they were little, and that was one of the reasons Jada wasn't on good terms with him due to the fact whenever she was playing with Lewis. Jason would snatch him over from her with football.

"That's it" She murmured, wiping her hands with a serviette placed on the table and walked over to Lewis and Jason who were still competing on a football video game.

"Hi babe" Jada walked over to the couch where they sat and kissed his cheek trying to draw his attention to her but he didn't move an inch as his gaze was too glued to the screen.

"Ugh, boys and video games" Jada blurted, rolling her eyes.

Annoyed with that, she searched for the remote control which her eyes landed on, without wasting time she switched the TV off and placed the remote control back from where she got it. That action alone surely drew the attention she wanted over to her.

"What the hell!?" Jason growled, he almost beat Lewis in the game.

"Oh, hi baby" Lewis said to Jada, turning over to her whose arms were folded between her chest with a serious look on her face.

"You're here" He addressed her.

"I was here in this room for like ten minutes ago, I had breakfast in the kitchen and even kissed your cheek right now but it seems like a phantom did that to you" She let out an unhappy chuckle, "Because you didn't even notice me".

Jada said to him and stood up from the couch to leave but he drew her back, leaning closer to kiss her but she used a hand to push him back, preventing him from doing so.

This literally was the first time Jada did such a thing, she couldn't even believe she could do such a thing due to the fact she was madly in love with him.

Jason couldn't stay and watch what was happening, still pissed off that the game was interrupted. He left both of them in annoyance.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to do that to you baby" Lewis apologized to Jada, after he sensed she was mad at him and didn't accept his kiss.

"What's up?" He asked her, but Jada ignored him.

"Common baby girl, not the silent treatment" He groaned.

"You're so pretty, and you keep on getting prettier everyday" He pinched her cheeks softly.

"Ugh, stop that" Jada took his hands off her cheeks.

"Baby girl 'im so sorry, I didn't mean to ignore you" He keeps on apologising, still noticing the sad look Jada had on her face with her arms crossed between her chest.

"I won't do it again" Lewis smiled at her.

Jada couldn't ignore him this time, the puppy dog yes he was giving her with that cute face of his made the anger in her to vanish. Her heart fluttering at that moment as she responded to him with a smile.

"That's my girl" Lewis mentioned to her, and embraced her which Jada accepted happily.

"Jason called me to come over, he said he was bored so I decided to come over to recall old memories" He said to Jada.

"You're not his girlfriend, he should go find one anytime he's bored and not telling you to come over like a robot he could control" She told Lewis with a little bit of sarcasm, bringing her arms down her chest.

"It's not a big deal, he's a friend".

"Friend my foot" Jada blurted.

"I know you hate him but he seems to have a change of heart towards you".

"Change of heart my foot" Jada mimicked, causing Lewis to snort.

"Anyways, since I'm here already let's go for our date" He stood up, offering a hand to Jada which she entwined into hers.

"Today will be the most wonderful day of your life, baby girl" Lewis said to Jada, moving together with her towards the door as they left the house together.

Jada giggled humorously.
