Old Things Have Passed Away.

"You can sit in the back, there are few seats still remaining" Mr Lawson pointed at some few seats positioned at the end of the classroom.

"Okay" Janessa smiled at him. The three of them turned to look at the seats he pointed out for them to sit. Raising their shoulders high, the three of them straightened their faces, walking in unison like dolls being operated toward the seats.

Janessa smirked scornfully at Olivia who quivered with uneasiness. She walked up to where Olivia sat with Jada and greeted before finding her way to the seats.

"Hello Olivia" Janessa waved at Olivia who managed to conquer her fears and looked her in the face with no abruptness attached to it.

"Hi Janessa" Olivia waved back to her slightly.

"You no longer call me queen" She mentioned to Olivia with a little bit of scowl appearing on her face.

"Old things have passed away, Janessa," Olivia said to her, moving her gaze from her to the book she held in her hands.

"Oh I see" Janessa let out a soft chuckle,"She's grown some wings" She paused for a second, clicking her tongue.

"But I'll cut them off" She declared ferociously to Olivia who swallowed hard.

Jada just watched the both of them in silence, she had no idea what was going on so the best she could do was to shut her trap and watch.

Janessa walked away and to her seat she sat, engrossing herself into a deep conversation with the two little minions named her friends.

"And now I will be leaving" Mr Lawson announced to the class, finding his way out.

Immediately Mr Lawson left, the whole students gathered around Janessa, Julia and Jessie. Asking them questions while  taking pictures of them as they posed for the snaps. The class was going to be hot from now on.

'The most popular students in school were going to be studying in the same class with them' some students thought within them and rejoiced happily.

"What was that?" Jada removed the glasses she wore, dropping it on her desk and facing Olivia who stood immobile since after Janessa left.

"It's a long story Jada" She took a deep breath letting it out at once.

"You could make it short".

Turning herself over to Jada's sight, Olivia said to her "Remember that day I was telling you about the three J's and you said you weren't interested?".

"Yeah I do," Jada replied to her immediately.

"Well there they are," Olivia pointed toward Janessa's direction as Jada straightened her neck to take a good look at them.

"They are the three J's?" Jada asked out of curiosity, pointing at the three human figures that looked like Barbie dolls she adored when she was little.

"Yeah, the most popular girl group in school" Olivia gave an answer to her curious question.

"You would have known them more if you were existing on splashtalk".

"I have no interest in them or splashtalk, I just want to be a normal student with a simple life here at least till I'm done with high school"

"You should be because life isn't simple here Jada, that's the only way you are going to survive in this hellhole of a school" Olivia pointed out to Jada with a little bit of hostility in her tone.

"Hey take it easy Olivia" Jada brought her arm to Olivia's shoulders, rubbing them smoothly.

"Let me have your phone".

"Okay" Jada handed her phone over to Olivia who unlocked it, trying to go through it before Jada asked.

"I know you're my bestie, but how do you know my password?" Jada asked Olivia out of shock.

"Even the blind can sense your password is Lewis" Olivia rolled her eyes, letting out a muffled laugh.

"That's not cool".

Olivia snorted and went ahead searching through her phone, she downloaded the app 'splashtalk' and opened an account in it using Jada's name and picture.

"Now take a look at this" She brought the phone closer to Jada.

"This is your account, I created one for you already".

"I told you I wasn't interested in these things Olivia" Jada frowned, looking at the account Olivia created for her in splashtalk. "just tell me the reason Janessa talked to you that way".

"Girl this is for your own benefit okay, I wouldn't be doing this if you aren't going to benefit from it and Janessa and I have a little issue you don't have to be a part of it" She smiled at Jada, hoping Jada wasn't going to ask her about her issue with Janessa which Jada didn't.

She was surprised because the Jada she knew was going to bug her till she explained to her in detail about the issue she had with Janessa.

"Tell me?" Jada demanded, "what am I going to benefit from this" Jada pressed on with inquisitiveness not asking her about her issue with Janessa.

Jada saw the sad look on her bestie's face and that's why she didn't bother asking her about it. She knew if Olivia wanted to talk to her about the issue she had with Janessa she would without her bugging her of it.

"It might not be now or today but you're going to thank me for this one day Jada'' Olivia made known to her, looking her straight in the eyes.

"Ugh, whatever" Jada blurted. Olivia shifted her attention back to what she was doing, drawing Jada's attention back to her.

"Now look over here" Olivia zoomed the phone's screen.

"For the entire grade twelve and Lexington high, Janessa's number one with over 1.4 million followers' ' Oliver read out Janessa's splashtalk account details out to Jada.

"OMG" her hands came to her mouth. "I.4 million?" Jada asked Olivia just to be sure.

"Jessie's number two with nine hundred and fourteen thousand followers and Julia's number three with seven hundred thousand followers".

"Wait, someone actually has that many followers in this school?" Jada kept on asking, she was really shocked at that.

"Of course, I told you this app is really popular around here".

Jada didn't know much about Lexington high due to the fact that she was still a new student. Today would be her second day in Lexington high.

She got in through a scholarship she got from her former school. Her parents can't afford the school since it was made for students born with silver spoons.

She wasn't the type interested in social media stuff but since Olivia kept on pestering her about splashtalk, she might as well give it a try.

"How does this app really work?"

"It's really simple, you just post hot pics and videos of it and when people see it they like and follow you" Olivia explained to Jada.

"By hot you mean?"

"This" Olivia showed her pictures of Jessie in hot bikinis and videos.

"She's hot but does she only post bikini photos?" Jada questioned Olivia, the videos and pictures Olivia showed her were only Jessie in bikinis.

If Olivia was expecting her to dress up like that for people to follow her then that's the last thing on her to-do list. Jada was the good girl of her family. If her parents ever saw her in pictures like that, she knew she was going to be lectured on morality.

"These are Janessa's" Olivia showed Jada Janessa's pictures.

"Jesus, She's almost naked!" Jada yelled loudly looking at a picture of Janessa in a red undie using her hand to cover her boobs while Olivia quickly used her hand and closed her mouth seeing the number of attention she drew towards them.

"Shush, take it easy, don't shout," Olivia shushed her.

"Does her parents watch this?"

"Her parents own a modeling agency so they have no problem with it, the same with Jessie and julia" Olivia answered Jada's nonstop questions.

"Are they all twins?"

"None of them are they are, just birds of the same feathers".

"How do you know so much about them?" Jada shot at Olivia, making the smile on her face vanish.

"I just do" Olivia scratched the back of her head anxiously responding to Jada's question. Jada studied her movements observing the anxiety in her face but she didn't ask her what was wrong.

"Check mine, how many followers do I have?" Jada changed the subject of their conversation noticing Olivia was no longer interested in it.

Olivia gave Jada a hideous laugh as a reply to her question.

"Seriously Jada?" Olivia arched a brow in a questioning manner. "I just created an account for you about ten minutes ago and you're asking about how many followers you got already?" She taunted Jada sarcastically.

"Common you don't have to taunt me, who knows I might be number one day" Jada conceited with confidence earning a disain chortle from Olivia.

"Okay, let's go back to your account" Olivia went back to Jada's account searching her splashtalk details.

"Woah, you're number 755 for grade twelve but you got a follower already!" Olivia exclaimed surprisingly.

"Really, who is it?" Jada asked Olivia as the both of them fixed their gaze on the phone.

Few seconds ago, Jada wasn't interested in the app but now her interest got the best of her.

"It's Josh" Olivia replied to her, checking out who followed her.

"As in Josh my stalker?".

"Yeah" Olivia giggled.

"It's not funny Olivia, ugh f**k him" Jada cursed at her follower. Josh was from class B, he's been stalking her starting from the day she started Lexington high saying he wanted them both to date.

"Just block him" Jada took the phone from Olivia's hands trying to block Josh.

"No don't!, Do you know how hard it is to gain followers on splashtalk" Olivia yelled at her, taking the phone out of her grip forcefully and unblocking Josh she had already blocked.

"Just ignore him if he chats you up or disturbs you again".

"Okay".

"How many followers do you have?" Jada asked Olivia once more. Olivia startled nervously before replying.

"I deleted my account"

"What, Why would you delete your account and then create one for me?" Jada inquired from Olivia who paused for a second before responding.

"I don't find the app useful to me anymore" Olivia lied through gritted teeth.

"That's a lie" Jada uttered immediately Olivia told her reasons of not being on splashtalk. Jada stared into Olivia's blue oceanic eyes, she knew she was lying to her.

Olivia would never add her on an app like that without joining it too, she knew something was bothering her bestie from the moment Janessa stepped into their class and she was going to find out what.
