Glass Peak
The Lord Blood Fiend was still had Glass Peak, watching over the descended body of Vitrum, he had felt that he was being looked at. But he could not figure out who it was, so he just assumed it was that stupid world creator peeping at him.
He decided to check on the fiends that were sent out to wreak havoc. He closed his eyes and sensed the locations of his subordinates. Several had already arrived here, on Glass Essence Continent. They had begun attacking the inhabitants. The inhabitants here were modeled after the world creator himself. They were elves. They all lived long lives and as long as they were not killed could live forever, even without cultivating.
The continent, was typically protected by the essence left by Vitrum's body. Unforunately, right now that is blocked thanks to the blood barrier encasing the body. This was causing the various barriers protecting the villages to weaken severely. The fiends rushed in the villages one by one. Slaughtering anyone they came across. The men, the elderly, and even the women. It was a bloody mess. Following the blood fiends that killed and destroyed the settlements, the devouring fiends followed behind consuming everything. They ate the corpses, weapons, armor, and even buildings.
When they came across children they would not kill them. For them that was to humane. They chose to inject there blood and aura into them, to attempt to turn them into fiends themselves. Children were typically easiest to convert, since they did not have any real power and their minds were simple. For the children, frankly death would have been better. Some transformed into vicious and vile fiends, no longer resembling there original beautiful elf forms. Others that did not transform simply melted into a puddle of mush.
As mayhem ensued over the continent, some of the elves managed to escape from the continent. But unfortunately there were not many that could survive, only about a hundred of the several million managed. Most were still injured while escaping.
The single Rot Fiend that followed along to this continent, did not do any fighting. They simple walked to the center of the continent. With each step the ground under its feet withered and rotted into a vile viscosity. It just continued to walk forward, simply watching the chaos erupt, as if it was of no concern to it. It had one mission and it would complete its mission at any cost.
After walking for awhile, it arrived at the base of a mountain. It was Glass Peak. At the base there was a large gate made of shimmering spirit crystals. It might look as fragile as glass, but it was actually one of the sturdiest existences in the universe. It spirit crystals are the only known item on every single world, in every single galaxy in the universe. The Rot Fiend could tell from looking at it that this particular gate was extremely thick and it will take awhile to break through it.
None the less, it had to complete its mission. It placed its bony and odious hands upon the gate. At an extremely slow rate, a horrid purple aura oozed out, trying to seep into the crystal gate.
As the Lord Blood Fiend watched his subordinates slaughter and pillage, he was satisfied. He could tell the other subordinates around the world where also making progress. They had already eradicated many small islands with no issues. Some had yet to reach their destinations, but those ones were the ones they had to be wary of.
One of these destinations was Tempest Continent, where the Emperor who ruled over it was a direct disciple of World Creator Vitrum. He may have not been able to ascend, but he was one who had participated in the last war and had shown extreme prowess and success in fighting the fiends back then. The other was a more mysterious continent. It has been around since the world was created, but even during the last war it was never invaded. It also never helped the other continents. It stayed neutral. This continent was the Unholy Continent. This was the extent of knowledge that anyone knew. He was even sure that the world creator did not know much more if anything on this continent.
Unknown Location in the Universe
The God of All was looking at his masterpiece. The world he had created out of boredom. It was massive planet with ten large rings around it. Each ring had its own environment, filled with countless ores, plants, and many resources that would make anyone who went there drool with greed. While these rings were filled with opportunities and resources they were also filled with dangers. Each one had powerful beasts roaming around. In fact some of the rings closest to the planet had beasts that had power rivaling even those who were considered lower class gods and goddesses.
Being satisfied with his work, he left in a flash. He reappeared on a throne. The throne was a glorious throne. If you looked at it closely, you could see it was made of millions of marbles that looked to hold planets and stars inside of them. The hall that this throne sat on was a massive hall, lined with gorgeous waterfalls cascading down. Floating islands in the area above the floor. It was even more grand than any heaven grotto that has been made. He felt it was time to start the next phase.
"Attention! All Galaxy Sovereigns and above, report to the Universe Apex Palace immediately!" spoke the God in a powerful and heavenly voice. It was enough to shake the universe. The many beings in the Heavens Realm's felt the tremors. Those who were called stopped what they were doing immediately and traveled to the location.
As they arrived at the palace, they lined up in order of rank and the ground below the throne. Luckily, the throne room was massive and could hold the several trillion beings that showed up. It would be a grand scene to anyone who saw it, with the exception of the God of All, since to him they were simply ants and created long ago.
The God sat on his throne of worlds, looking down upon the beings below him. See that everyone arrived he began to speak. His voice was filled with authority and pure origin essence "Now, as you know I have been feeling bored for the last few trillion years. And now I have finally found out how to relieve this boredom. I have created a new world. It is dangerous with fortuitous encounters. I have selected one billion contestants from through out the universe. In one hundred years each one of them will be transported to this world. And they will fight to the death. The last one standing will receive many gifts, one of which will be that world I created. As for the other rewards those will be announced at the time of the competition."
The trillions of beings present shivered at the thought of a battle to the death involving billions of people from the universe. Although a billion people was not a large number in the grand scheme of things, it was quite shocking that this was happening just because this God was bored. But, how could they as finite beings even begin to understand an infinite being such has this God.
Glass Planet, Royal Capital Tempest Void City, Infinite Legacy Sect
After Orval and Iris ended their embrace, Iris took out a small box. She opened it, revealing a majestic ring. This ring was made of spirit crystals and was engraved with the royal crest.
"This was a ring that my mother had given my father when they got married. My father said that I could give this to the man I love. It is made from spirit crystals and the royal crest engraved on it is made out of immortal crystals. You see my mother was the last person from this planet to ascend and surpass the Rebirth Realm. I have cultivated in hopes of reaching her someday." explained Iris with a lovely smile.
Orval was surprised to hear that her mother had actually ascended, since everything he knew showed that one could not ascend from this planet due to restrictions. But he would think of that later. He accepted the ring and felt he should give her one was well. He wanted to give her one that would compliment her, as he was thinking of what to give her an idea popped into his head.
He circulated his qi to his palm. It again continued to condense to an extremely pure state until what was left was a ring. It was not made of metal or spirit crystals. It was made of the pure elements. It contained everything he had learned in the different grotto's he had went in. It was swirling with life, death, karma, and calamity. It was contained in a shell of time and space.
"This ring may look simple, but it is filled with all the profound knowledge I have acquired during my cultivation. It is called The Ring of Tempest. It is a swirling storm of life, death, karma, and calamity inside a shell of time and space. Once you put it on it will never separate from you and will grow when you and I both grow. This is the best I can give you to show our eternal bond." explained Orval.
Iris was shocked by the magnificent ring he presented her. He put it on her finger and she could instantly feel the power it held. It was incredible, it was so incredible that no item or artifact she had ever seen or heard of could compare.
Next Orval suggested that she take to assessment of the Infinite Legacy Pagoda and recommended her father attend as well. Iris sent a message to her father inviting him to the pagoda.
After a few minutes both the Emperor and Duke Glacier came to the sect. The Duke came along to again thank Orval for handling the situation his son created. Orval thought nothing of it and was not made or annoyed with the Duke at all since it was not his fault.
Iris went and stood in the square in front of the pagoda. Burlesque then came out and stood in the entry way of the pagoda and began the assessment.
Iris's body glowed and above her head, her information showed.
[Name: Iris von Tempest
Current Cultivation: Middle Rebirth Realm
Current Art: Void Glass Method and Tempest Glass Method
Talent: Extraordinary
Potential: Upper Immortal (due to current world highest realm that can be achieved is Rebirth Realm)
Recommended Art: Infinite Art: Tempest of Chaos Zither Method]
As everyone watched on as Iris took the sects assessment, they thought it was impressive that her potential was so high despite not having the amazing cultivation methods of the Infinite Legacy Scripture prior to this. Orval, thought it was interesting that her method was a cultural ability. This was a first that had come from the scripture. He needed to make her a great zither to best allow her to grow.
Ass the Emperor watched on his eyes teared up. He always knew his daughter would have great success, but never did he think she would have the chance to move up to the upper realms. Duke Glacier, who has been with the Emperor since they were kids, knew just how much it meant to him for his daughter to have the potential to reach a higher realm and see her mother again. He congratulated the Emperor on having an outstanding daughter, with a sincere smile on his face.
After the assessment, all the leaders took the Emperor and Duke around to see the entire sect. They found it was a magnificent view through out even more so compared even to the Royal Capital. They were particularly shocked when they found out the entire sect was one artifact, created by Orval.
The Emperor was happy of who his daughter had chosen and now he truly understood just how she came to fall for this boy. He looked at his soon to be son-in-law with gentle eyes before speaking "Orval, when Iris told me she wanted to spend her life with you, I had given her some conditions. One of which was after you accepted before you left the continent I would like the wedding to be held here at the capital. So, if you can I would like for you to hold off for a month before leaving. We can hold the ceremony in a week and then the rest of the month is for everyone in the capital to celebrate your joyous union."
Orval, thought about it for a moment. He really didn't want to stay on this continent for much longer and even more did not want to delay his cultivation. But at the same time he did not want to upset his future father-in-law.
His mother, June, stepped forward and spoke excitedly "Of course we will wait. If you do not mind, Your Majesty, I would like to help you plan the wedding!" She was absolutely beaming with excitement. She really wanted to plan this wedding and the sooner they got married the sooner she got cute little grandchildren.
"You can have full authority over this wedding if you would like. All I will handle is my daughters dress. I have been holding onto one for her for a long time now." spoke the Emperor happily.
Orval could no longer refute anything since his mother had already made the decision. So, they were now getting married in a week.
