Practitioners could not hold back the adventurers and scouts as they were already reached the wide backyard of the headquarters. These were the creatures who were interested in inviting Kai to join their guilds, in their minds, with proper guidance and training this man can probably acquire a higher rank.
Moreover, when they arrived at the area. Suddenly, they saw the woman who had blonded brown hair and red eyes that had just finished a conversation with the young man they were looking for.
With her popularity and current adventurer rank, it was impossible for each one of them to not recognize this woman. She was standing cluelessly in front of them, wondering why they were so many creatures gathered in this place.
Oh, come on!
The Union Guild already knew about that guy? It just happened a couple of minutes ago and the information spread quickly?
As expected to them! They already knew who are the adventurers that worthy to invest in!
Ahh! We should back out now! The Union Guild is also interested in that man, we don't have any chance to take him anymore.
These were the scouts' and adventurers' reactions after seeing Carmen at the location. Eventually, they began to leave one by one, knowing that if the Union Guild was the one who invited that young man, there was no reason for them to pursue further.
Union Guild is currently the number one guild in the Deranium City, which means they were the ones who called first if there was a special guest who had arrived. Of course, it will be concluded by plenty of rewards that the other guilds wished for. On top of that, most of their members had the rank C rank up to SS+ rank which was the Guild Leader.
What a waste!
If I'm the one who invited him, there's a high chance we can have a big quest in the near future!
Hais... The practitioners must be the ones we blamed for this! If they didn't block us, I'm sure one of us would be picked by that man!
Azamone stepped closer to Carmen and would like to explain what currently happening in the headquarters. But before that, he bowed his head at her to give a formal introduction.
"I'm Azamone Dirk, I'm one of the practitioners in the Adventurer's Headquarters. Nice to meet you, A+ adventurer Carmen." He said politely.
First thing first, Carmen put back her sword that looked like a katana on the scabbard hung on her left waist. After that, she narrowly bowed her head and said. "I'm Carmen Mordigord. Carmen is fine and please don't include my rank while you addressing me."
Azamone nodded as he understood the situation. "Sorry about that and I also apologize for the ruckus created by those scouts and adventurers, adventurer Carmen."
"That's fine. But can I ask you why they were rushing earlier? And saying the Union Guild is interested in something?" After she asked this man, she can feel this middle-aged man was trying to hide something. "You don't want to talk?"
He shook his head as he knew this woman can easily destroy the entire Adventurer's Headquarters with just a click of her fingers. "Of course not, Adventurer Carmen! What I should do that to you..."
Even though Azamone's ability was above average from the ordinary adventurers. Still, he can't afford to pick up a fight with this untouchable woman, especially if he tried to defend was the young man he just met a couple of minutes ago.
"Then, speak! They included me and the name of our Guild. If I personally report this incident to our Guild Leader, I'm sure he will visit the headquarters. I know you don't want that to happen, isn't it?" She was warning him as she knew scaring people was the best way to get answers instantly.
By just simply remembering the face of the Union Guild's Leader, his body was starting to feel a tremendous chill.
"You don't have to do that, Adventurer Carmen. But if I tell you this information, please, hide it for the time being." He said in a cracked voice, feeling the cold sweats on his temple dripping on his cheek.
"Hmm... It depends on the situation. If the information it's against our Guild, it's impossible to not report it to my guild leader. But if not, you can rest assured that I will not spill it out." Carmen smoothly kneaded her chin as their conversation started to get interesting.
"If that's the case... There's no reason for me to keep hiding this." Azamone paused for a second before adding these words. "First of all, did you see the young man who exited here?"
She nodded without hesitation as that young man had a unique face that she can't easily forget. "Yeah, but what is the matter to him? Did he do something illegal in this city?"
Azamone shook his head and hands in unison along with an uncomfortable smile on his face. "No, he didn't do anything. He's just a new adventurer who attained a D+ rank at a young age, honestly, it's not that quite surprising if we compared him with your current rank. But I'm sure as well as the scouts saw his evaluation, that young man could go to a higher rank."
Now, the situation was well explained to Carmen. Also, she now understood why they were so many adventurers chasing that man, at the same time, why they left when they saw her together with that man.
Moreover, she frowned her brows as she witnessed how the bulky guy totally defeated him in a duel match. Well, she can't still jump to the conclusion because of the possibility the bulky guy did some tricks or assault him from his behind why he ended up in that situation.
"Hmm... Quite interesting." Carmen took a glance at Azamone in the corner of her as she realized why this middle-aged man wanted to hide this information from her earlier. "It looks like you wanted to hide that man to be beneficial for your Headquarters."
Azamone gulped and had sweaty hands, knowing if the supreme knew about this incident, the Headquarters would face hard circumstances.
"But since we made a promise and the information isn't against our Guild. You can rest assured, I'll not spread this."
After she spits these words, Carmen immediately leaped into the 7 meters wall and left the place.
Bam!
Azamone fell to the ground and loosened the tightness of the black ribbon on his neck so that he can breathe freely.
"Hais... I'm almost fucked up. I should not entertain her in the first place. But how I could do that? I'm sure she will ask for it." He deeply sighed, then took a glance at the clear blue sky. "Kai Xinn, huh..."
...
On the other hand, Kai safely got back to Alexa's house, checking in the window if someone tailed to him.
"Finally, no one around me." He said inwardly and looked at the screen that appeared after he met the blond woman.
