A Fight That Was Already Finished 1

[Umm... Arthur?]

While Arthur continued to stare at the screen in front of him, the system that was currently up in the air, suddenly spoke making his attention divert back to it.

"Yes?" Asked Arthur as he clicked on the [X] button to close the Status Screen.

He felt that the system wanted to say something, but was worried that he might get angry by her question. So, after pondering for a few seconds, he decided to ask if something was wrong.

"System, is there something wrong?" Arthur smiled gently. Because of this, it made the system go down in the air until it was right in front of him.

[Why are you so desperate on trying to save him... To save Athan...?]

Although the system had been with him for God knows how long, it never asked something personal up until now. It was because the system had respected his privacy, and never wanted him to remember something in the past before she met him... And was scared that he will go back to the way he used to be.

When Arthur heard the System's words, he couldn't help but let out a chuckle.

[Why are you laughing?] It was as if he felt that the System was upset because it had thought that he was laughing at her, and was currently pouting.

"Nothing particularly," He answered truthfully. "I don't even remember why I'm doing this in the first place, but... I do remember that 'that guy' made a promise that pissed me off up until till now before all of this had started."

For a second, Arthur suddenly had a flashback of what happened many, many, many, many, many.... You know the point.

'I promise that from now on, I'll handle everything.'

He could still remember his words clearly, but forgot what he meant by 'handle everything'. Still, it was all because of this that he managed to keep on looking forward. To him, it didn't matter if he had to save every world, nor die many times just to fulfill what he want.

What he wanted was simple yet something that no one can expect.

"Handle everything my ass, I'll make sure that I'll make you snap back to reality, Fucker!" He screamed on top of his lungs with a wide grin.

On the other note, the system had been staring at him silently, while thinking 'I think I shouldn't have asked that question...'

A couple of minutes after the talk between Arthur and his system, Arthur finally went back to battle with his new acquired strength.

[Fatigue 97%]

He stared at his fatigue level before switching his attention back to the rushing monster.

𝘐 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘐 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘵... With this thoughts in mind, he then turned his head to look at Leo, who was about to fall unconscious, as he made a gesture towards the monster.

Next, it was as if Leo had realized what his gesture meant that he smiled.

Raising his arms forward, Leo then flicked his fingers, summoning thousands of mirrors where Arthur could fit.

[Mirror Mayhem]

And then, using his last bit of mana, Leo activated his Crest of Strength to strengthen Arthur before smiling.

"Go for it, Arthur."

Nodding, Arthur returned his attention back to the monster that had it's claw only a couple of meters away from his face.

Raising his hand, when the claw was about to reach his hand, Arthur activated his first attack. A combination between his Dawn and Gravity.

[Dawn Force]

*BAAAAAAAAM!!*

Their collision sent tremors on the surroundings.

𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘬...

Gritting his teeth, Arthur, with the help of Leo's strengthening magic and him wrapping his whole body in mana, he managed to push his way through.

After the gigantic spider-like monster was blown away from the impact, he hoped in the air and used the wall to jump on with extreme speed that almost no one could follow.

He then went inside one of the mirror and reappeared behind the monster as he readied himself to attack.

Arthur raised his broadsword and then slashed it downward at the monster's back, causing it to move forward in pain.

𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘬...

The monster who was currently injured decided to turn around as it slashed it's claw to his direction. But thankfully, he managed to reach the other mirror in time as he suddenly reappeared up in the air with his sword ready to stab the upper-part of where the crystalized girl is.

"Kraak?"

Unfortunately, the monster sensed that something was wrong so it decided to jump backward to evade his attack.

"Tsk!" Arthur clicked his tongue out of frustration, as he used the small rocks that was falling in the ceiling to jump on to reach the other portal.

𝘛𝘩𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘴 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵... He thought as he took a glance at his fatigue level.

Alicia and the other two; Lumine and Sophia, who was still conscious looked at the uncovering scene that was happening in the distance with pure shock as their expression.

"How does he had this strength left after that?" Alicia asked herself out loud. "No. There's no time to think about that. We need to help him first." She shook her head and turned to look at the two beside her.

Noticing her gaze, Sophia turned her attention towards Alicia, who pretty much had a serious expression.

"Do you have any idea on how we can help him?" Asked Alicia.

Hearing this, Sophia went silent for a bit as she took a few seconds to contemplate about what was currently happening.

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘸...?

It was then she suddenly noticed something from the distance in her view.

Sighing, Sophia raised her hand and pointed her fingers towards the direction she was looking at.

"I think we can now understand what our Professor Cossette meant by saying that 'he should do his job properly'." She chuckled.

Lumine and Alicia turned their heads to look at the direction she was pointing at with confusion.

"Who--?!"

With a look of understanding, Alicia joined in with Sophia as she let out a giggle. Now, Lumine was the only one who was left confused.

Lumine decided to squint her eyes as she focused her attention to the figure who was walking towards where Arthur and the monster was fighting.

The boy had a brown hair that was cut short and reached his shoulder, his usual prismarine-colored eyes were now replaced by a crimson-red color that was brighter than Alicia's.

The three was still staring at the boy when something suddenly happened.

They felt that all their remaining mana had suddenly disappeared as the surrounding of the boy suddenly released a black fog that was enough to cover the view from his behind him.

With them on the edge of falling unconscious, they had one similar thoughts.

After the last collision between him and tg monster, Arthur took a few seconds to recover a bit of his strength to release his final attack.

"I'll have to finish this..."

Everything that happened next was so fast that barely anyone except for the monster could follow through his movements.

Pressing his foot to the ground, the ground beneath cracked apart as Arthur propelled his body forward, heading towards the monster as he raised his sword.

Unfortunately, It was as if the monster had teleported when it suddenly appeared on his right with it's claw ready.

Thankfully, it was thanks to his senses that Arthur managed to dodge the attack in the last second when it was about to hit him.

Dodging to the side, Arthur raised his right hand and grabbed on one of the wires that was attached on the body of the monster.

"Huuup!" His body swayed in the air because of the wires. And then, after his foot came in to touch with the monster's back, he stabbed his sword on it's back before propelling himself up into the air as he managed to land on the upper part where the crystalized girl are in.

𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘵. With this thoughts in mind, he placed his palm onto the crystal and muster every last bit of his strength to activated his final attack.

[Impact Hurricane]

*Bang!*

The vortex that was covering Arthur's arm exploded, releasing a strong gust of wind or more like an hurricane that made his body flew in the air.

It was at the same time Arthur's fatigue level hit 100%.

[Fatigue : 100%]

"Shit... Why?"

He knew that his attack had barely damaged the monster since after the fog cleared up, he felt that it was still staring at him even though it doesn't have eyes.

He was about to give up when suddenly, something unexpected happened.

*Zuuuuup!*

The last thing he saw before falling unconscious was the space around them suddenly distorted, as a boy came out in thin air while holding a two katanas in her hands.

"Took you long enough..."
