A Fight That Was Already Finished 2

Five minutes ago. (The time where Arthur and his companions are in is faster)

"Damnit!" A loud voice echoed in the dark cave.

It hasn't been long since 'Athan' got out from the scraped space he cut earlier, he didn't expect that the place he was transported into was in front of a large door near what it seems to be a small abandoned camp.

To be more precise, the camp where Arthur and his companions was in earlier.

"I came late..." 'Athan' said to himself. Then, he raised his head to look at the door with an tired expression.

He was about to take his first step when he felt that his body was rather heavy that he almost tripped onto an air.

"I see... That skill took a lot of my mana, huh..."

Sighing, 'Athan' sat down on the rock that was placed in front of him and stared at the campfire silently to take a quick rest.

"I really need to hurry up." With his finger under his chin, he tried to come up with a solution to his current problem.

After pondering for a while, 'Athan' stood up and walked towards where the door was supposedly at, then sighed.

"Damnit, I really need to learn how to conserve mana," He said. "Just how could I get mana so quickly...? If only there were a group of peop-?"

Just right when he was about to finish, he suddenly heard a few steps not far from on his behind.

𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘭𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘺...

Smiling to himself, 'Athan' used his last remaining mana to blend his whole body into the dark.

With this, he waited for the right moment for them to get near so that he could knock them out and absorb their mana without them knowing.

"-Hey, where do you think the others go?"

"-Who knows... I thought I saw someone earlier moving in here."

"-Is this dungeon perhaps haunted by ghost?!"

"That's impossible," Said the leader of the students. "Anyways, we should hurry up and clear this dungeon. This place sure gives me the creeps."

When the five students finally walked past him, 'Athan' summoned his katana and used the blunt part of it to knock them out in a matter of seconds.

*-Thud* *-Thud* *-Thud* *-Thud* *-Thud*

After knocking out the five of them, 'Athan' cracked his fist and raised them slightly to absorb the mana in their bodies.

It didn't take him long to finish and when he did, 'Athan' readied his stance and raised the katana in his right hand up before slashing it down once again.

𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘵... Staring at the scraped space in front of him, he thought, 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘵𝘩 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵, 𝘐 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘴 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘨𝘰 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘶𝘵. He nodded to himself with his eyes closed.

And with that, 'Athan' once again went inside the scraped space while hoping to be transported near where Arthur was in.

Few hours later inside the unknown door.

'Athan' was walking around in complete silence with his guard still up when the lad suddenly heard a faint metal clashing onto another metal far within the distance.

He didn't know what it was so he decided to look around.

He looked around to find where it came when suddenly, a strong shockwave shook the entire ground as the calm mana within the whole cave distorted.

𝘐'𝘮 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘺... He thought as he looked down looking quite disappointed.

It took him a few seconds to recover from his expression and when he did, 'Athan' shook his head and confidently walked towards direction where the fight was in.

𝘐𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦, 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵? With this thoughts in mind, he tried to think of a proper skill to end things more quickly while also trying to figure out to combine them with some cool move.

'Athan' was pondering for a while now as he continued to walk until a quick realization hit him.

After this realization, he stopped walking and facepalmed.

He then began to look through the memories the real Athan has acquired until he came across the memory that was named as <[The Greed Demon Lord]>

He first watched how The Great Hero, Vin (Arthur) made his cool entrance just to kill The Demon Lord, Atreus (Athan).

If one could describe his expression, 'Athan' watched the whole scene while having the same expression of a child that was about to watch his favorite T.V. show. His actions could be considered as cute, coupled with the fact that Athan's face looked more like a girl... If his hair was slightly more longer, many would end up identifying him as female. Not to mention, they might end up falling for him at their first sight.

And that would be a huge problem...

"Fuuuu...."

When 'Athan' had finally came into sight of the battle between Arthur and the monster, he saw the crystalized girl in his point of view.

Whistling, he made a grin. "Yup. That girl is my type." He said as he shook his shoulder.

According to the other soul living inside of Athan, he was supposed to be 14 years-old before he died. His soul was then left into a deep sleep in other words coma for a few billion of years before awakening not long ago.

Although he was asleep for a billion years, the soul managed to keep on track on the time since whenever the current Athan was reborn, his strength was slowly coming back to him.

Also, considering the fact about why he had a childish personality, if ever he decides to think more like a grown-up person, the soul might have become crazy long time ago.

This was also one the main reason why he had to remain with his childish personality.

Sighing, 'Athan' took out two of his katana and placed them on to his waist.

With a smile, he confidently walked towards the battlefield.

𝘊𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦? 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘨𝘰! He excitedly screamed in his heart.

As he walked down the battlefield with his expression being covered by his hair, 'Athan' noticed four more people within the distance.

He took a side glance at them as he continues to walk towards where Arthur is before stopping midway.

'Athan' right arm was then covered in black fog as his surroundings turned dark.

The black fog then made it's way through to the three girls who was still conscious to steal-absorb their mana.

Without looking at them much, 'Athan' apologize to them in his heart for taking their mana without any of their consent or permission.

Before the three fell unconscious, he noticed that Sophia and Alicia had a smile on their face as if they had understood his silence, while Lumine was shocked as she looked at his crest.

*Bang!*

Thus, because of the sound of the explosion, 'Athan' diverted his attention back to Arthur and the monster who had just finished fighting.

Arthur then fell unconscious while he was falling to the ground.

When 'Athan' saw this, he shook his head and summoned his barrier magic to catch Arthur's body before lightly placing them next to the unconscious four.

Unsheathing both of his katana out of it's scabbard, 'Athan' crossed them onto each other like an 'X' shape.

The monster then noticed his presence as it suddenly came rushing towards 'Athan'.

"Zieeek!"

With a wide grin, he finally activated his one and only finishing move.

*Zuup-!*

As if he had teleported, 'Athan' left an afterimage of him while reappearing behind the monster without it even noticing.

"Fuu..."

'Athan' then took a long and deep breath before slowly sheathing back both of his katanas.

*Shiii... Shik!*

When fully sheathed, the world's color suddenly diverted.

To him, it felt like the time slowed down as the monster continues to rush towards his afterimage without even noticing that he was gone.

When it's claw was about to reach 'Athan' afterimage neck, the space surrounding it suddenly broke into pieces like some glass.

Without the monster even noticing, the most important part of it had suddenly disappeared.

The monster was only a few meters away from the afterimage of Athan when it stopped.

The crystalized girl that was supposed to act as it's heart had fell on to the ground as it made it's way through the afterimage of 'Athan' earlier.

By the time it had noticed this, it was too late.

[Crossing Void]

With a sigh, 'Athan' had continued walking without paying attention to the monster.

Although he was silent, in his mind, he was actually counting.

*Zriiiik!*

By the time it had reached to 0, the body of the monster behind his back looked as if it was shifting in and out of the reality since it's body was disappearing before reappearing once again.

This continued on for a couple of minutes as it started getting worse.

The right arm of the monster that had disappeared had reappeared from the stomach part of it's body. It was slowly starting to reshape in an hideous manner.

While this scene unfolded, 'Athan' could be seen helping the other unconscious students he saw earlier when he made his way towards Arthur.

By the time he had turned around to see what was happening to the monster, the monster was now shaped like a ball as the space continued to distort.

When he saw this, 'Athan' couldn't help but sigh before raising his hands to flick his fingers.

*Flick!*

Because of his actions, the shaped like a ball monster had suddenly became small and looked as if it had turned into a black hole.

Well... It did, actually.

*VUUUUUUUAAAAAM!*

The small black hole had swallowed up the air and rocks that was surrounding it when it suddenly became big before disappearing into the air.

*Crack!*

'Athan' cracked his neck as he made his way forward to the other students.

He was only a few meters away from the unconscious student in front of him when the world's diverted color finally turned back to normal.

"Well, that's that... I guess..."

Saying this, the black hole that had disappeared earlier had suddenly reappeared out of nowhere before releasing a huge explosion.

"!?"

*Bang!*

It took a few minutes before the dust had finally cleared up and when it did, 'Athan' couldn't help but sneeze.

"Ha choo!"

Rubbing his nose, he turned around to look at the huge crater that was swallowed up by the black hole while holding a surprised expression on his face.

"What a follow up."
