[A/N : This chapter is only slightly longer. Not exactly that long, but... It's just long enough ( ╹▽╹ )]
Somewhere around the academy-
A day had passed upon Chloe's yesterday announcement. As for today, Arthur, Cossette, Alicia, and the others had decided to visit Athan in his room.
"Arthur, hurry up already!" Alicia shoved Arthur on the shoulder with an excited expression. "Hurry, hurry!"
Frowning, Arthur rolled his eyes and spoke before turning his head towards the door, "Yeah, yeah... There's no need to be this excited."
When Arthur was about to reach out for the doorknob, the door unexpectedly opened as two woman wearing a white mage uniform, that was supposed what the teachers of this school was wearing, went out of the room.
When the two saw them, the tall, beautiful woman -who got out the room first- looked at Arthur before switching her attention to the others. "Ah! You must be here to visit him."
Before the woman could even continue, Alicia abruptly grasped her wrist and asked excitedly, "Is it possible for us to visit Athan now?"
There was a reason why they couldn't visit Athan yesterday.
When they were about to enter his room, a girl named Charlotte stopped them from entering by saying that Athan still needs to rest.
Of course, Arthur and the others became upset with this. This includes Athan's sister, Chloe, because when she visited him earlier, no one ordered her to leave. She just left on her accord because she wanted to inform the others that Athan had finally woken up from his coma.
Alicia and Chloe tried to argue with the girl, but Charlotte merely ignored their words and locked the door. She said, "No one can enter this room until the patients finally had enough rest."
When Charlotte left them alone, Alicia tried her hardest to break the door. But in the end, she failed because every time she tries to destroy the door using her magic, an anti-magic barrier, that used to protect the wall and the door, would stop her before she could even cast a spell.
It was because of this that they forced herself to give up and leave with the others.
Anyway, back to the present- When Alicia asked the tall, beautiful lady that question, she suddenly noticed someone hidden from the girl's behind; it was Charlotte.
"You're here..."
Alicia and Charlotte eyes began to intertwined. One could see a strong sparks of lightning coming from their gaze, as they hatefully glared at each other.
This continued on for a few seconds until Charlotte rolled her eyes and snort. She spoke, "Why are you even here? Do you even have some sort of connections with the patient?"
When Alicia heard this, she raised her brows and replied, "Of course. Why would I even bother visiting someone I don't know? The patient inside that room is my 'friend', unlike you... Why are even asking these questions?" Her expression turned curious. She found the girl interference quite odd; even though she was a temporary teacher, almost no one would be this strict when it comes to visiting someone... Unless, they knew who the patient was, or if their patient has caught some sort of infectious disease that is dangerous for people.
Frowning, Charlotte calmly replied, "I know who the patients is very well; he is one of my students. It is one of the teacher's duty to study about their students. By learning about their behaviors, the teacher would be able to provide the exact help needed to tackle with the student's health and to help them learn more. That includes you, Alicia De Vladimir."
After her words, both the girls glared at each other.
As for Charlotte eldest sister, Mila, she stared at the two with an amused expression. She was enjoying seeing her usual aloof and silent sister, showing her emotions by talking to someone about a 'boy'.
As for Arthur and the others, they kept silent as they looked at the two, who were glaring daggers to each other. Although Arthur wanted to say something, he couldn't because of the immense pressure the two excluded; it was terrifying enough to keep all of their mouth shut.
After a couple of moments, the two snorted as they turned their backs to each other.
""Humph!'"
Arthur who saw this, heaved out a long exasperated sigh. It was clear that he already had enough dealing with his master and the others, he didn't want to add more problems.
Raising his hands, Arthur was about to poke Alicia on the shoulder when the door at the back of Mila, unexpectedly opened.
Athan poked his head out from the door with a tired smile. He said, "Can you guys please keep it down a little? I'm trying to rest here, you know?"
"Oh, sorry..." Arthur rubbed the back of his head in apologetic manner.
It was then he realized...
"Athan!"

At the building where Athan and Danica is- Staring at Athan, after a few moments of silence, Danica's head suddenly dropped to her arms as she ignored him with a bored expression.
"What do you want?" Danica asked, "What does the self-proclaimed genius son of the Granhart Family wants from me?" She said these words sarcastically, making Athan's lips twitch.
Inhaling deeply, Athan responded, "I need your help about something. Since it's you, I know that you'll be able to do it."
Raising her head slightly, Danica glanced at him as she furrowed her brows. She asked, "What's in it for me? Wha--"
Athan didn't let her finish. Before she could ask more questions, he replied, "About your theory. I can confirm that your Parallel World Theory, or in other word, Endless Parallel, is correct."
Upon hearing this, Danica slammed her hands to the table and stood up from her seat. Next, she hurriedly walked up to him and grabbed Athan on the arm. "How?" She asked, "How can you confirm it? Is it really possible to be confirmed right now?!" Her eyes was telling him that she was desperate. He know the reason why, and merely ignored her gaze.
"So, are you going to help me?" Athan crossed his arms. He then continued, "If you don't believe me, I'll let you view my memories."
Almost immediately, Danica tried to activate her ability when she heard his answer. "Okay, I'll-"
It was at that moment, she realized what he just said.
She looked at him, flabbergasted. Though, her expression was quickly replaced by an anxiousness. She stared at him cautiously, before saying, "Where did you learn about my ability? Did you also have the ability to read my mind as well?"
For a quick moment, Athan went silent. "If we both read each other's mind, who's mins are we reading?" He asked, lightly shaking his head.
The bartender who had been silent since earlier after Athan had arrived, suddenly turned into a white fox, that quickly went in front of Danica to protect her from possible attacks of Athan.
"A familiar, huh... Well, that's new," Athan stretched his arms as he stared at her with an amused look. He then continued, "There's no need for you to look at me with that suspicious gaze. I'm not planning to tell anyone about your special ability."
While hiding behind her familiar, Danica warily asked Athan, "Who are you? Who's the person that sent you here?"
Annoyed, Athan placed his fingers under his chin and replied, "Didn't Eleanor already sent you a message telling you something about me? You saw it already, didn't you?"
She went silent for a few seconds, before mumbling to herself, "So, you really are the person that the idiotic daughter of 'that' guy had sent me." She was about to say more when suddenly, she felt chilling pressure crawling down to her spine. It wasn't just her, but the fur of the bartender familiar from earlier had went up, too.
Athan, who had his eyes fixed towards her's, was silent; he completely ignored the existence of the white fox as if it was nothing more of an insect. He then said, "Please refrain from insulting my 'Friend'. You might end up becoming missing like the people on the news... You've already seen it last night, right?"
Upon hearing his words, Danica suddenly remembered what the newscaster said.
'Three people had been reported missing last night. It is said that nobody had seen them, nor heard about them ever since they left when they've received a text.'
Remembering this, Danica asked herself, 𝘞𝘢𝘴 𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨? With just these thoughts, her expression gloomy as she became more anxious.
Athan remained silent for a moment. After that, he breathe out a long deep sigh. "Enough with this. Like I said earlier, if you help me, I could confirm that your theory is correct."
While she was still a bit wary, Danica asked, "How...? How are you going to confirm it?"
Without further ado, Athan's expression turned back to normal. He said, "That should be easy. Though, I can only confirm that your theory is correct to you. Because I still don't have enough influence in this world, other people may not believe what I say."
Cracking his neck, he continued, "As for your question on how I'll be able to confirm it, before I could answer that, do you believe in past lives? I mean, believing that there is an afterlife, or maybe in reincarnation?"
When Danica heard this, she stared at him with a questioning look as if she was asking him 'are you crazy?'. "... What do you mean?" Although it took her a long time to reply, Athan merely ignored this and gave her a quick answer.
"Reincarnation is real." He answered bluntly. His face remained cold and expressionless, it was as if he was waiting for her to give a reply.
Soon after, Danica's expression turned frown. "Huh...?" She stared at him straight in the eyes with a doubtful look.
Athan went silent; he didn't immediately gave her a reply. Because of this, Danica decided to try and activate her ability.
But...
She was about to activate her ability when Athan suddenly spoke after noticing what she was planning to do. He quickly said, "If you read my mind, you'll become crazy... Worse, you'll die."
She abruptly stopped upon hearing this. Slowly, Danica lowered her head a couple of moments before raising it once again to look at him.
"I have reincarnated many, many times in a number that you can't count. If you use your [Mind Reading] on me, your head will be OVERFLOWED with memories about my past lives, causing your nerve to explode."
"I'll let you see a tiny bit of my memories. But I'm warning you, don't read past through 100." He spoke with a serious expression. "You can read 99 below but never go past through 100. I've already tested this from you in my previous regression. If ever you tried to force yourself through it, you'll become crazy. Also, I'll let you pick whatever memories you want to see. You can peek around my other previous lives' memories, or you can just look at my past regression in this world." Athan then heaved out a sigh and sat down on the table in front of her.
She just squinted her eyes in doubt after hearing his words. Well, who in the right mind would immediately believe someone who said that they have reincarnated many times.
"I'll trust you... for now." Still doubtful, she slowly activated her [Mind Reading] ability and began searching through my memories.
Of course, a while before she activated her ability, Athan had already concealed many of his painful memories that would've caused any normal people to go insane... 'Insane' is not actually the right word for that, because if she ever see it, she'll lose her humanity. He was pretty sure she would commit a suicide. If that happens, he'll immediately just go on another regression to not waste any more of my precious time.
While he was in thought, he suddenly noticed a tear falling down from the side of her eyes. When Athan lifted his head up to look at her, his mouth couldn't help but twitch after a quick realization.
