Mafia (Psylocke III) Part 10

Before we could continue our conversation, I realized that we had already arrived at Jessica's private detective agency.

I stop the car right in front of the agency and we get out.

When we entered the building and climbed the stairs, I finally understood how this woman dealt with the intruders.

There are several people lying and groaning in pain all over the place.

Laura and Riri looked at this curiously.

We enter Jessica's office, who is just sitting reading some reports as if nothing had happened.

She looked up from the reports when she heard us enter.

"Oh, you came, that was quick" she said.

"Of course, even though I had a problem, it didn't slow me down too much" I replied with a shrug.

"I see, the guys you see lying around are people from the Kingpin, if you want information ask one of them. I recommend the bald guy, he seemed to be the leader of these idiots" she said while pointing in the direction of one of the unconscious men.

I approach the man she pointed to and with a kick I wake him up.

The man screams in pain, confused he looks around and when he sees me, he gets scared because I was looking at him with a sinister smile.

"I want you to answer a few questions" I told him.

The man tells us the facts very scared since he also saw Jessica. Probably this woman left him a trauma.

It seems that the Kingpin is not only interested in Riri, but wants to capture Laura as well.

Listening to his words, I really know who wants Laura. It's none other than The Hand.

If I remember correctly, the Kingpin and The Hand have close relationships, as they do the same business.

Knocking out the man again, I look at Psylocke and say:

"You're a mercenary, right? I want to hire you, for a period of 5 years from today"

Psylocke stares at me, then says:

"Why me?"

"I have seen your skills; you are good but you faced the invincible me and lost. That is why I offer you this, after all I could kill you but I decided to save you"

When Jessica and Psylocke heard my words, their faces twitched at my shameless words.

Psylocke is silent for a moment and then says:

"After the 5-year period, if I leave, won't you stop me?"

"I promise" I told her seriously.

Stretching out her hand she says:

"My name is Elizabeth Braddock. It will be a pleasure to work for you"

With a smile I shake her hand and say:

"Nice to meet you Elizabeth, my name is Alex Wayne and it is also a pleasure for me to work with you"

Jessica, who watches my interaction with Psylocke, asks:

"How did you meet this woman?"

Laura and Riri tell her how we met her.

Jessica is speechless, she looks at me and says:

"It's the first time I've seen a person hire someone who tried to kill him"

I just shrug.

As we were going to continue talking, there was a ruckus from outside the office and with that I knew trouble was coming.
