Mafia (Confrontation III) Part 13

Jessica Jones POV

Leaving Alex, I decide that it is better to go to his apartment than mine, after all no one saw us there.

I could see the concern on Riri's face, so I tell her:

"Calm down girl, Alex is not someone who breaks his promises"

The girl nods her head.

As we drive to Alex's apartment, in the rearview mirror I can see someone following us.

I can observe that the woman named Elizabeth notices as well.

The woman speeds up to lose them but the bastards are insistent.

Then a truck gets in our way, with that I realized that those who are chasing us had called for reinforcements.

Elizabeth manages to avoid the truck and we keep going but now two vehicles are after us.

"Those insistent bastards" I said angrily.

"I'll give you the wheel" said Elizabeth before teleporting.

I'm surprised but I quickly take the wheel and curse her actions.

In the rearview mirror I see the woman appear on top of one of the cars and use an energy sword to kill the driver, then does the same to the other vehicle.

When finished the woman returns teleporting to her seat.

"Thanks" was all she said.

The two vehicles overturn after losing their drivers.

Freeing ourselves from our pursuers, we arrived at Alex's apartment.

Once inside I relax and when I was going to pour myself a drink my cell phone rings. Seeing that it was Alex calling me, I answered him.

"Jessica, I'm done here, where are you now?" he asked.

"Oh, we're in your apartment" I replied.

"I see, wait there" saying that, he cut the call.

Alex Wayne POV

Leaving the mansion, I called Jessica and she told me they were at my apartment.

Outside the mansion, I found a motorcycle, I decided to use it to move.

Once on the road, I see a group of 4 motorcycles that started to approach my position, the men on the motorcycles draw guns and start shooting at me.

Increase speed to avoid their shots, I wonder how these bastards manage to find us.

Pulling out my gun I shoot one of the bikers, knocking him down.

The other three, seeing my actions, shoot me with more intensity, some of their shots hit me causing injuries but these quickly heal.

The men are speechless when they see that I did not fall off the motorcycle with all the bullets that hit my body.
