Books of Truth Part 4

Irene approaches me and handing me the book says:

"Take this book, I trust that you will know what to do with it"

I just take the book without saying anything.

When Mystique sees how Irene hands me the book, her expression changes and she say:

"Alex Wayne give me that book, it is very dangerous that you have it"

Seeing that Mystique wanted the book, she made her companions get serious.

"Is that book so important, Mystique, what does it contain?" Polaris asked.

I knew what this book contains, it contains the visions of the future that the original Irene Adler had seen.

Seeing how curious everyone is, Mystique says:

"I want you to know that if anyone tells what I'm going to tell you, I will deny that we had this conversation"

Looking at me Mystique continues saying:

"What you, Alex Wayne, are holding is a time bomb that will end up destroying you"

"When Irene was alive and awakened her powers, these allowed her to see events that would occur in the future, she recorded them in notebooks that she called Books of Truth. Because she was afraid that they would fall into the wrong hands, she hid them in different parts of the world"

"And that you are holding is one of those books, now you understand how dangerous it can be to have those books Alex Wayne"

Everyone in the room was shocked by what Mystique said.

"So you mean that an event that will happen in the future is recorded in that book?" asked an astonished Wanda.

Everyone quickly looks in my direction.

"For that reason you must give it to me Alex, because if you don't, I will force you"

Finishing his words her companions prepared to attack me.

Laura and Psylocke prepare for the attack.

Emma doesn't know what to do, Mystique's group saved her but Psylocke is her friend so she decided to stay out of it.

Irene ignores all that and keeps looking at me.

"So what are you going to do with the book?" she asked me.

I looked at this woman strangely, first she tells me that she knew what she would do with the book but now she asks me.

The woman, seeing my expression, quickly explains:

"I know you'll do the right thing, but I'm curious what you'll do"

Seeing that we were chatting ignoring her warning, Mystique was annoyed.

"I'm warning you Alex, give me the book" Mystique said annoyed.

Ignoring her second warning I grab the book in my hands and using the fire from my lighter I set it on fire reducing it to ashes.

All the people except for Laura were shocked by my actions.

"That's it, that book is useless to me, with this we don't need to fight anymore" I told them.
