Minutes Before

Taskmaster and M.O.D.O.K. monitored the situation of Attilan at all times.

So when Graviton returned from talking to the Inhumans, Taskmaster asks him:

"They didn't accept, right?"

Shrugging, Graviton answers:

"You guessed right, they seem to be too proud to surrender"

"Then get ready to attack the place, as our ally will soon make his move" Taskmaster said.

Nodding his head, Graviton began to give orders to his men.

And a few minutes later, they saw the barrier that protected the city of Attilan fall.

With a sinister smile, M.O.D.O.K. says:

"Attack!"

Thus, the A.I.M. forces began their attack.

Minutes Before

In Attilan

All of the Inhumans were stunned.

Their barrier, which gave them some security from the outside, was gone and they were now vulnerable.

Black Bolt and the other members of the family were also shocked.

But due to their surprise, they didn't realize that one of their guards moved at high speed and approached Black Bolt.

This guard brought his hands to Black Bolt's head.

Black Bolt was unable to react as he felt his mental energy leave his body and began to lose consciousness.

Lockjaw was the first to notice that his King was attacked.

So he quickly lunged at his attacker, but a shock wave hit him and sent him flying a few meters into the air before landing near Medusa.

Medusa, Gorgon, Karnak, Triton and Auran were shocked that someone attacked their King and were enraged that Maximus protected him and attacked Lockjaw.

"What does this mean Maximus, are you betraying us?" a furious Gorgon asked.

Maximus just looks at them with a smile on his face.

Karnak looks at the smiling Maximus and asks:

"You're the one to blame for the barrier's deactivation, right?"

Shrugging, Maximus approaches the unconscious Black Bolt, and ignoring Gorgon and Karnak's questions, he says to the soldier who attacked Black Bolt:

"Well work Jailer, your ability is very useful"

Calmly looking at the other members of the royal family, Jailer replies to Maximus:

"You don't have to thank me, it's just part of our deal"

Jailer is a criminal Inhuman who possesses the ability to feed on other people's mental energy to empower himself.

"So you joined a criminal just to get your wishes, you're pathetic" Medusa said to Maximus.

Just as Medusa was about to order the soldiers to attack Maximus and Jailer, the first of these two says:

"You underestimate me honey, he isn't my only ally"

Seconds after Maximus spoke, a loud explosion was heard, destroying a building near them.

A.I.M. was attacking.
