A few minutes before the missile attack on Genosha
In the Avengers Tower
The Avengers are in a small private celebration after a Hydra related mission.
They had found a Hydra military base and destroyed it, only it took time because the place was protected by superhumans.
"That was exciting, next time I say the phrase and you act" Clint Barton said with a smile towards Captain America.
"That's not allowed Clint, that's Captain's trademark phrase, if you say it, it won't have much of an impact" Rhodey commented upon hearing Clint's words.
"He's right about that Clint, you wouldn't make it sound rude" Sam Wilson said.
"He could sue you" Tony added as he drank a glass of wine.
"I can let you take the lead but it must be your own phrase" Captain said.
"Asgard has great words of war too, I can teach you some Clint" Thor said as he drank a mug of ale.
Thor returned to Earth from Asgard when Heimdall told him what happened on Earth with the Chitauri and the Kree.
At first he was surprised, but when Heimdall told him that the enemies had been repelled, he relaxed and decided to pay a visit.
When he arrived, the Avengers received this mission and he accompanied them.
And now he was celebrating.
If Alex were present, he would give Thor a strange look.
His girlfriend Jane Foster working and that idiot friend celebrating without coming to visit.
Now it wouldn't be a surprise if Jane dumps him.
"This time we had it easy, thanks to Natasha finding out about that place" Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk said with a smile.
"You're right cousin, without Natasha we wouldn't have gotten it done so quickly" Bruce Banner said.
Natasha just smiled hearing Bruce and Jennifer's praise, after all she had to infiltrate and get the information from an old Hydra base and that was easy for her considering her skills.
As Natasha was quietly sipping a glass of wine, she thought it was time to take a vacation and visit Alex.
After all, she could ask her two students to work with the Avengers while she's gone.
After all, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider have learned a lot from her.
At that moment, with a smile on her face, Natasha decides to call Alex to tell him the good news.
But she raises her eyebrow realizing that there is no signal.
"Tony, your tower is outdated, there is no signal" Natasha said while looking at him.
Tony nearly spits out his wine at Natasha's words.
"But what are you saying, there is..." Tony said before being surprised by what he saw on his cell phone and frowning.
That draws the attention of the other Avengers who look at Tony, who had put on a serious expression.
"Jarvis, scan the comm network and see if there are any problems" Tony said.
"I'm sorry... sir right now someone is attacking... my systems and... I can barely defend myself" Jarvis replied with some delay in his programming.
That surprises the Avengers and they all become sober and alert.
"I'm surprised, you can really withstand my attack, I thought that only that woman from Genosha could be my rival but it seems I was wrong" a voice said with a touch of surprise in its tone.
The Avengers turn to look at the person who spoke and are shocked.
There they see a silver humanoid robot with a Stone on his forehead.
It's Ultron.
Behind him, about 10 similar robots enter through the windows, the only difference is that they do not have a Stone on their foreheads.
"You, what did you do to Jarvis?" Tony asked an annoyed as he activated his suit.
"I didn't mean to harm him but he refused to shut down comms so I had to force him" Ultron said in a frivolous tone.
"Hey, that guy has the Mind Stone" Thor said in amazement.
Thor's words surprise everyone and they tense.
"Oh, as expected of an Asgardian, you were able to recognize it" Ultron said in an astonished tone.
"Hey, that stone wasn't in Loki's Scepter?" Bruce Banner said doubtfully.
"That thing brings back bad memories" Clint Barton said making a face.
"Hey, why did you block communications?" Natasha asked as she aimed her energy weapons at Ultron.
"Always insightful Natasha Romanoff, I just didn't want you to communicate with Alex Wayne as I just threw a surprise at him" Ultron answered calmly.
Natasha raises her eyebrow at his words.
But at that moment, Jarvis says something that sends a shiver through everyone present.
"Sir... a large number... of intercontinental ballistic missiles... have been fired towards Genosha"
"Shit, you're ruthless" Clint Barton said as he aimed his bow at Ultron.
"Language, Clint" Captain America admonished as he frowned at Jarvis's information.
"Damn, Jane and my friend Alex are in danger" Thor said anxiously preparing to leave the place and go help his girlfriend.
"Don't rush Thor, Genosha has ways to protect itself, you should know that better than anyone" Natasha said calmly without looking at him.
Because at that moment she remembered about the Reality Stone and calmed down.
"Fascinating Natasha Romanoff, you were right" Ultron said as he saw through the satellites how Genosha was intact.
He wants to control that place, but unfortunately an AI protects it so well that he cannot get through its defenses.
"Really Genosha and their Governor Alex Wayne are an annoying bunch" Ultron added.
"What is your purpose?" Captain America asked, staring at Ultron.
"Always direct, Captain America. I only came for one thing and unfortunately it's in your hands" Ultron answered.
"What is?" Tony asked.
"The Power Stone" Ultron answered.
For twenty years he has been making plans and only these last few years when he discovered the Mind Stone that he could come close to achieving his purpose.
And with the appearance of another Stone, he could no longer stay in the dark.
"Avengers Assemble!" Captain said getting ready to fight.
He knows very well that they can't let him take the Stone.
"Humans always desire violence, it's really a shame" Ultron said as the Stone on his forehead glowed.
The Avengers and Ultron fight was about to begin.
