Hela and the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Part 2

//

Captain Marvel flew directly into the group of destroyed planets.

Although she doesn't know how those four planets were destroyed and the other two completely disappeared, according to Rocket, the two civilizations on the two missing planets were advanced, so Captain Marvel still believed there were survivors who managed to escape that disaster.

She felt the pressure of the magnetic fields of these planets, but without worrying, she kept going.

She is not afraid of the planets exploding because she had realized that whatever destroyed them had absorbed their energy.

And now they are just empty stones.

Furthermore, she noticed that the magnetic force was getting smaller and smaller.

After checking out the first planet, she sighed discovering no trace of living beings.

"How are you doing on your side?" Captain Marvel asked her teammates, who were still in the spaceship, through her suit's intercom.

"Nothing from our side, but be careful. I have detected a trace of Cosmic Power in the place" Gamora informed her, she and the other Guardians of the Galaxy, using the spaceship, were checking the surroundings and detected those traces of energy.

They can easily detect that kind of energy as they return to Earth from time to time to upgrade their spaceship so they can do a better job, especially with the dangers in space, even the Legion Sentinel they carry has also been greatly improved.

"Understood" Captain Marvel replied as she frowned.

She was clear that this was caused by someone extremely powerful and only one being capable of doing that came to mind.

Galactus!

She had never met that being, but from what she had heard and Alex's information, she knew how capable this cosmic being was.

Just as she was lost in thought and about to enter the second destroyed planet, she realized something that left her speechless.

Two very powerful energies, repelling each other, came out of that planet.

Those two energies destroyed the rest that remained of the planet, and the explosion caught Captain Marvel off guard and ejected her sending her flying several meters uncontrollably.

The Guardians of the Galaxy spaceship also received some of the aftermath of the explosion, but since they were far away it didn't affect them too much.

Captain Marvel unleashed her power to the fullest and managed to stop herself, but she was not happy and squinted at the site of the explosion.

There she could sense two beings the moment she felt the two energies, but what put a solemn expression on her face is that the energies were of the same power level as hers.

That meant they were dangerous existences, the only good thing was that they were in conflict.

At no time did she think that they would die in the explosion, after all she has the confidence to survive that and those beings on her same level were the same.

As if in response to her thoughts, two figures flew out of the wreckage of the planet.

Captain Marvel could clearly see what they looked like

They were a man and a woman.

The man was completely covered in extremely hot flames and had released a dangerous aura.

The woman who was very beautiful, wore a dark green suit that outlined her entire figure and wore a strange black helmet with many horns and held two swords in her hands.

Those two beings noticed Captain Marvel's presence but ignored her as they currently had no time to be distracted and continued their fight to the death.

Captain Marvel did not know what to do when she saw that they were still facing each other.

//

Hela had to say her luck was down and she was upset.

When she left the Nine Realms and headed into space, she safely landed on a habitable planet of an advanced civilization, sure, not as advanced as Asgard, but it was enough for her to start her plans.

After almost a month, she managed to conquer part of that civilization using force.

But Hela never expected that this solar system would be targeted by Galactus and his herald, Firelord.

So while she faced the herald, Galactus devoured every planet in his path and then left.

Not feeling well, Hela stopped the herald and continued to confront him.

This is how they got to the current situation where Captain Marvel found them.

//

Hela glared coldly as she slashed her swords at the herald of fire.

The latter released a large amount of Cosmic Fire to defend himself but had underestimated the attack strength of the Asgard Goddess of Death.

Breaking through his defense and though Hela's swords made a shallow cut, the force of the attack was like a great hammer and he was sent crashing into the remains of one of the destroyed planets.

Hela wasted no time and followed him to continue her attack.

She was merciless to her enemies and would never give them a chance until they are completely dead.

Watching from the side, Captain Marvel is stunned to see that and doesn't know how she should act, but what Gamora tells her through her suit's intercom makes her understand who to help.

"Carol, I already understand who he is guilty of. Although I don't know the woman, that man of fire is the herald of Galactus, I recognized him since Thanos has always been aware of his movements and when I was by his side, I learned about them"

Gamora continues:

"This herald is currently known as Firelord but his real name is Pyreus Kril, he was born on the planet Xandar, in the Andromeda galaxy. He graduated from the Nova Corps Academy, he is a dangerous enemy"

Captain Marvel did not hesitate any longer and rushed towards where they were fighting with the intention of helping Hela.

Sometimes fate was very strange and right now, the flow of time was changing.
