Hela and the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Part 4

//

The herald of fire was frightened, although he had already communicated with his partners and his master, he knew that they would not arrive on time, especially if things continued like this.

Desperate, the only thing he could do was use his last resort.

"You bastards, you brought this on yourself, so die!"

The herald of fire's face had a sinister smile and before the bewildered looks of Captain Marvel and Hela, he placed his hands on the ground of the destroyed planet and released a large amount of Cosmic Power.

His body shone like a small sun, releasing unbearable heat.

The faces of the two women changed when they realized their actions, unfortunately they could not react in time to escape.

But luckily for them, the Legion Sentinel wrapped his body around them and under the astonished gaze of the herald, they disappeared.

Desperate for the situation, the herald wanted to stop his attack, unfortunately he had already released it and seconds later, the planet exploded destroying the last planets close to it.

The explosion was terrifying, leaving only remnants of the planets behind.

Now, what was once a living solar system, there is nothing left to prove its existence.

The Sentinel, Captain Marvel, and Hela figures appeared on top of the Guardians of the Galaxy spaceship.

Looking off into the distance, Captain Marvel frowns.

"Legion! Can you detect the presence of our enemy?" Captain asked the Sentinel.

"A signal of power is detected that is moving away at high speed" Legion answered with a mechanical voice.

"Can you follow his trail?" Captain Marvel frowned as she asked the Sentinel Legion that question.

"Yes, I can trace it" Legion answered.

Letting out a sigh, Captain Marvel turns her gaze to the woman who had been silent.

"So, what are you going to do? If you don't have a place to go, you can come with us" Captain Marvel said as she offered to take her.

After all, they have a common enemy and from what she saw, that woman has no transportation.

Hela frowns and looks at Captain and then at the robot that looks a lot like the Destroyer.

She is not stupid, she knows that she cannot defeat this woman and her robot, so she decides to accept her offer, after all this woman is still going to chase that herald and she still wants to vent with that guy.

Yes, our Asgardian goddess is very spiteful.

"I'll follow you for now, but I don't like taking orders" Hela answered coldly.

"Then welcome aboard. My name is Carol Danvers but they call me Captain Marvel, nice to meet you" Captain Marvel introduced herself with a calm smile.

"My name is Hela" Asgard's Goddess of Death replied without fully revealing her identity.

Nodding, Captain Marvel guides her inside the spaceship.

Upon entering, Captain Marvel introduced the group to Hela and vice versa.

"So, how long will it take for the Nova Corps to arrive?" Captain Marvel asked Gamora, after introducing Hela.

"They won't be long" as soon as Gamora finished speaking, the spaceship's radar detected the arrival of a fleet.

Looking outside, they see that it is the Xandar fleet.

"They're here. Gamora, let them know the situation and then we'll go after that bastard" Captain Marvel said as she slammed her left fist into the palm of her right hand.

"Carol, is that guy still alive?" Peter Quill asked a little confused and amazed.

After all, he had seen the big planetary explosion and he didn't think anyone could survive it.

"Yes, but he must be very weak, we must catch him before he meets his boss" Carol answered as she seriously nodded her head.

She can't accept that kind of being to travel freely in the universe since he will destroy many civilizations.

If Galactus fed on lifeless planets, she wouldn't say anything, but she's sure they wouldn't change their minds so easily.

"Hmph! It's no problem if that bastard meets Galactus, it'll be easier to finish them off" Hela commented coldly.

"This woman is right, it will be easier to finish them off that way" Drax supported Hela's idea.

"I am Groot" Groot said.

"Heh! You two have potential" Hela said approvingly.

"Can you understand Groot? ...wait, stop encouraging that idea, after all this time the enemy is very dangerous" Peter Quill said with a bit of a headache as another violence lover joined his group.

"Groot, it looks like playing with that Earth thing is eating your brain" Rocket said a little exasperated by his friend since his attitude was due to the influence of human videogames.

"I am Groot" Groot looked at Rocket suspiciously and brought his Gameboy closer to him.

"I don't want it" Rocket rolled his eyes at Groot's actions.

Captain Marvel just lets out a soft laugh at their actions.

Hela sits down while looking at the group.

She is a little uncomfortable at the pleasant attitude of the environment.

Hela has never experienced that, so she stands aside.

As she continued to watch them, she wonders if her father hadn't treated her harshly, she would have had friends like that.

But the moment she thinks of her father her face turns cold.

"We can go now" Gamora said and immediately after that the spaceship began to move.

"Great, time to catch that bastard" Captain commented.

They all settled down and the spaceship took off at high speed, to start the pursuit of the herald using Legion.

Hela closed her eyes to rest and steady her emotions.

Little did she know that this trip will change her perspective and make her think differently.

At a far distance, the herald of fire did not stop his advance and continued to move away, always alert.

At all times, he felt uncomfortable as something told him that he was not safe.

After several days, he arrived in the vicinity of a small solar system.

Letting out a sigh, he decided to rest on an uninhabited planet.

What he didn't know was that this planet wasn't normal.

He could have figured that out, unfortunately his battle with Hela and Captain had weakened him.
