Chapter 10 Dirty Tricks

As soon as Sherman walked over, his sight was blocked.

Sherman reacted quickly. As soon as he raised his hand and tried to get rid of the thing that blocked his sight, he was hit heavily.

"What are you doing?"

Someone yelled in the distance and Sherman heard a man's sneer.

"Little marquis, you are lucky this time. But I will come to you again."

They thought that those people would focus on the millstone and the oven.

He missed it.

The thing on Sherman's head was removed. It was a sack.

A sack?

"Sherman!"

Sinard's voice was full of panic, which made Sherman freaked out.

"Are you okay?"

Sinard's words of concern made Sherman couldn't make any ironic remark. He could only answer that he was fine.

As the richest man in the country, he always had something to protect himself.

But he didn't expect that someone would use such a dirty trick.

Sinard was also a little embarrassed. She stood beside Sherman and waited for the two men to be caught.

The atmosphere was a little awkward.

Sherman felt a little uncomfortable and wanted to get rid of Sinard.

However, if he took the initiative to speak, Sinard would definitely follow suit. He was asking for trouble.

So, he fell into a strange silence.

Dolores came back with a depressed face and apologized to Sherman, "I'm sorry, master. I can't catch those two people."

"You are indeed incompetent."

Sinard said coldly. She didn't like Dolores at all.

Sherman's words made Sinard even angrier.

"I'll criticize her by myself, not you."

"Sherman, what do you mean?"

Sinard glared at Sherman and pointed at Dolores: "Are you protecting her?"

'Protecting a servant who couldn't even protect her master?'

Unable to get Sherman's answer, Sinard was about to cry.

Sherman freaked out and said coldly, "Sinard, it's none of your business. Can you go away?"

"Sherman, I truly care about you. How could you..."

Before she could finish her words, Sherman walked away.

If he couldn't afford to offend her, why couldn't he hide?

Dolores said apologetically, "Master, it's my fault."

She didn't protect Sherman well, and the murderer ran away and didn't be caught.

"It's not your fault. Have you seen clearly who they are?"

"I don't know those two people. They ran directly towards the marsh."

She was not familiar with the marsh terrain, so she didn't dare to rush in. It was completely not worth it to trap herself in.

"What are their looks?"

"They are both wearing masks. I didn't see their looks."

The more Dolores talked about it, the more incompetent she felt.

She didn't bring any message back.

They were really good at it.

Catlow knew that his men beat Sherman without permission and ran into the marsh without being found. He was exasperated at them.

He didn't think it was necessary to destroy Sherman's foundation through this kind of trick.

If the news got out, he would surely lose face.

Catlow clenched his teeth in hatred, but the matter was beyond repair.

Roy was shocked to know that Sherman had been attacked.

"This, this is my fault!"

Sherman was fine, but the others were very nervous.

"Those people ran into the marsh."

Ran into the marsh?

Roy paused and didn't know what to say.

How dare they run into the marsh without any weapons?

Didn't they know that the marsh was still the world of fish monsters?

A group of idiots!

He regretted that they didn't live up to his expectations, but he couldn't show it in front of Sherman.

"Catlow, Catlow Carl, right?"

Sherman suddenly called out the name "Catlow", which startled Roy.

Roy replied carefully, "You mean the young man yesterday? He is Catlow."

"Talk to him and ask him what's going on with those two men."

Sherman seemed to know what the relationship between the two men and Catlow was, so he gave an order to Roy.

Roy also knew that he couldn't preserve Catlow. "I'll do it right away."

"Besides, pick thirty people and train them to be the local army. It's time for us to deal with the fish monsters."

But now, they were in the cart.

The basic wooden house could be directly built by him, but the following buildings would almost need people to build according to the drawings.

There were too few people living here.

It seemed that it was time to put the matter of buying slaves on the agenda.

After the construction of the army barrack, it was time for building hunting houses and fishermen's houses.

Sherman looked at Roy, and Roy agreed without hesitation.

"Isn't it too small for thirty people?"

"Select thirty people first and see the effect."

Sherman also knew that thirty soldiers were not enough, but there were only thirty soldiers at the preliminary stage of the army barrack who could be accommodated and trained.

He couldn't tell Roy the reason, so he had to fool him.

"I'm going to pick. I'll give you the list before nightfall."

Roy didn't insist on asking the reason but just agreed directly.

The army barrack was built in an open space not far from the marsh so that they could go out to look for the fish monsters to practice.

The fish monsters came and went freely in the water, and the marsh here was even more troublesome. They could hide underground.

"I will try my best to select people with combat experience to join the team."

Sherman nodded and asked Roy to do it.

There was nothing important next.

"Sherman."

Sinard's voice returned to calm.

Sherman began to feel freaked out.

"What's the problem?"

Sinard was very calm and didn't seem to be making trouble.

"I'm planning to build a holy church here. Can you transfer some materials for me?"

"Is this your request?"

Sherman's eyes became stern. Sinard didn't give in and said, "This is my request."

The two of them were in a stalemate.

"Are you sure it's your request?"

Sherman hated the holy church very much. Sinard's request had already crossed his bottom line.

Therefore, Sinard was facing Sherman, who was even colder than before.

Sinard was also ordered to come here. If Sherman asked, she could give up.

But…

"Why are you always so cold?"

Sinard asked, gritting her teeth.

Why couldn't he be gentle to her?

Sherman continued, "I would agree with your request if you were not so reasonable."

"I don't care. Who do you want to show your face to, me? Sherman, ask yourself, what did I have done wrong for you?"

This was one million gold coins.

One million gold coins.

Although they hadn't paid yet, they would surely ask for it when they got married.

Sherman told himself this and his face softened. "What else?"

"I don't want to talk about church."

He added.

It was Sinard's turn to pull a long face at him this time. "Nothing."
