'Why are you staring at me?' I asked her.

'What? Can't I look at my younger sister anymore?' She laughed.

'You two should cut it out. This is serious and we won't go anywhere with you bickering.' Mum said.

I sat down too and crossed my legs at the knees.

'Kassy, I need your word.' After a few seconds of silence, mum said.

I did not want to lie to her so I could not tell her I was not going to say anything to Black sin. I only sat there, moving my gaze from my sister to my mother.

'Mum, I understand you want to trust Kassy, but we shouldn't make rash decisions here. I love Kassy but the girl doesn't have her priorities set straight.' Alicia said.

'If you loved me, you won't be talking about me like I'm not in the room. This is my family and we're supposed to have each other's backs, so it hurts that you don't trust me. You can't even offer me the benefit of the doubt.' I looked at Alicia.
