Susan sat in front of her vanity table, glaring at the woman who stared back at her in the form of her reflection. The woman laughed at her like a maniac. The woman mocked her as she tried to understand how she got where she was. Did she offend someone in her past life who might have infuriated the person to lay a curse on her? What crime did she commit that earned her such a complicated situation?

She ran a hand through her hair, effectively pushing the strands that tickled her face. Her hands slowly ran from her face to her neck before they fell on her belly. She still couldn't understand the path her life was following. Was it good or bad, she couldn't tell.
