CHAPTER 58: Epilogue 1

Three years later:

The dining room was a symphony of warmth and laughter, the soft glow of candlelight dancing across the faces of the family members gathered around the table. Lady Susan, her husband, and their son Jackson sat amidst the joyous chaos, their smiles and chuckles mingling with the savoury aromas of the evening's feast.

As they passed dishes and shared stories, the room was filled with the sweet sound of togetherness. Jackson's eyes shone with excitement as though he could understand what the adults were talking about. Everyone could tell he was a happy kid, something he took from one of his parents.

Edmund quickly wiped the boy's mouth with the table towel, earning a glare from Susan, "There was nothing there,"

Edmund smiled sheepishly, eyes shining with love, "I saw some bread crumbs on the side of his mouth,"

"Don't overpamper him," She chided him.
