Last Ace

Ashnard, whose spirit had returned, jumped over Roc and lunged at the minion. He used his own body to push the minion to the ground. Then, Ashnard looked at him deeply. He looked at her as if he didn't want to take his eyes off her at all because if he didn't see it the minion would outperform him like before.

"It's over. I saw you," said Ashnard who pointed the tip of his sword above the minion's chest. If it made the slightest move and put up a fight, Ashnard wouldn't hesitate to bury it deep.

Seeing Ashnard's eyes fixed solely on him, the minion knew that Ashnard would not blink or be distracted in the slightest from him. He then let go of the sword grip in his hand and said in a resigned tone, "Alright. I give up. You win."

In Ashnard's heart, he felt relieved. Still aiming his sword, Ashnard then kicked the minion's sword far away so it wouldn't be used to stab him from behind.

"You're being very careful, aren't you," the minion said mockingly.
