King Horace quietly stared at the goblet now filled with wine before he smiled and gulped down the wine, much to Hemeri's surprise.

He wasn't expecting the King to really drink it!

"I heard you do not drink anymore," Hemeri Van Hale confusedly pointed out.

"You are here," King Horace calmly responded as he continued eating again. "That means I don't have to worry about getting myself drunk."

Earlier, Hemeri was reluctant to bring up the truth and that story he overheard. However, after hearing what the King just said, he did not think he can do that anymore.

"Why did you hide the truth and let everyone blame you?" He finally asked in a low voice and noticed how the King slowly lifted his gaze to look at him again. "I am talking about how you married that woman."
