Chapter 32

I had to sacrifice my flag to drag Allen further deep into the bottom. That is what he gets for messing with us, who were just trying to have a normal college life.

[Leaderboard]

[Top 1: Austin Rivera, Floriculture student with 10 flags]

[Top 2: Bernard Geronimo, Industrial Art student with 9 flags]

[Top 3: Mirasol Arevalo, Culinary Arts student with 8 flags]

(Note: Her name is not Marisol. It is Mirasol which means 'Sunflower' in

English.)

The top students came out shocking. Ira and I did not expect Austin to be on top of the leaderboard, number 1 at that. This industrial arts student was not a surprise since my friend told me they come as a whole class, chasing students around with their overwhelming number.

However, Mirasol is the third most student with 8 captured flags? What? Did her classmates decide to give their captured flags to her and make her come out on top since they can always share the profit? I bet that's what happened with the others too.

"Isn't this crazy? In the end, this special exam is all about teamwork. Each class giving their captured flags to their leader to get a higher count is what every course should have done."

"Well, the rules did not prohibit such tactic. As long as no threat or whatsoever was done behind the scenes, it's good to go."

Every disappointed student voiced out their opinions on their classmates and friends, frustrated why they did not win while those in the top 3 celebrated their victory.

"Austin, so how did you manage to have 10 flags?"

My classmates are bound to ask Austin how he pulled it off. He is definitely athletic and friendly and has a good physique, too, so people assumed it was all about his skills.

"Actually, it was thanks to Cristina and Allen's friends."

Allen's friends? Did they help him?

"Cristina here proposed that I have her captured flags and leave only her flag and one captured flag with her. She has 4 captured flags, so she contributed 3 flags while I have 4. That makes it 7, right? Sean, Robert, and Ivan left their remaining flags with me, which was 3. Two of the flags were personal flags, so I had to exchange them with other students.

Luckily, they agreed to it. And voila, I have ten."

If the lackeys did what Austin just told us, then that means the three idiots decided to go with Allen's downfall.

"Whoa! You're amazing, Austin!"

The dude basked in compliments from his classmates, humbling himself in front of them as he scratched the back of his head.

"O-Oi, everyone! The results of the bottom 3 are here!"

[Bad: Jeric Rosales, Nursing Student with -1 Personal Point]

[Worse: Javier Oliz, Nursing Student with -2 Personal Point]

[Worst: Allen De Guzman, Floriculture Student with -3 Personal Point]

Everyone that reads it had a shocked or surprised expression on their face but not Austin and Ms. Cristina, who were there when I handed Ivan Allen's flag.

I felt a prick on my nape when I locked eyes with Austin. He has this amazing expression on his face, smiling at the evil deed I'd done to Allen.

'So physically messing him up was not enough for you, huh? Esecleus?

You had to mess with his college life too!'

(Note that Esecleus has no clue as to what Austin thinks here. I just put this here for you guys to know what he has in mind.)

I knew that Allen won't be back any day. He would spend his days recovering in the infirmary where Doctor Rafael would be treating him. What I am not sure of is if Allen would plan to take revenge on me.

Suddenly, when I was out of it, someone grabbed me by my collar, trying to lift me in the air.

"Esecleus! You!"

Seeing Ivan in front of me angry was something I expected.

"You purposely gave me the wrong flag, didn't you?!"

I exactly knew what to do in this situation.

"And what might you be saying, Ivan? I acted on goodwill by giving Allen back his flag, and this is what I get in return? Shouldn't he be thanking me for that?"

I said out loud, feigning ignorance as I held my laugh.

"Fuck you!"

"Oh, you better be careful with your fist, Ivan. People are watching."

The poor guy must have completely forgotten that students have gathered. Ivan unwillingly had to free me of his rageful grip and walked away with Sean and Robert.

"Since it is thanks to them our class came out on top, the Account Points

I've garnered will be divided to their base on their contribution."

Austin found a way to capture everyone's heart and made himself the good guy, savior of our course. Of course, other students present in the mini-park with us did not like it. They thought of it as something like cheating.

Surrendering their flags along the way and those students that agreed on exchanging their flags for our class to accumulate more points took big criticism from the other competitors.

But I found myself being the center of the attraction, being the crazy dude that beat Allen to a pulp. The belittling look in the eyes somehow brought real cowardliness in me. I felt pathetic but extremely satisfied at the same time.

As I watch my hands tremble in excitement every time I remember the harsh punishment I gave to Allen for bullying my friend was one thing I won't forget.

'Even if those two nursing students were present in our fight, I doubt Allen won't plan an act of revenge on me. After everything I'd done to him, it's only plausible that he'd want payback.'

Therefore, I am gonna plan a countermeasure myself and prevent Allen from getting back at me. If I were in his shoes, I would not even try to go near myself again. Those beatings will serve as a lesson to me, a lifetime one.

*Clap, clap*

"Okay, students! Those who have injuries are instructed to go directly to the infirmary."
