Fire And Water.

Ramon's Pov.

I followed her through the forest, but I wasn't prepared for her speed. I'm the quickest wolf in my pack, but this wolf had a higher speed. I really had to push myself to keep up with her. I was surprised by her reaction. What made her run away from me? I would never do anything to hurt her. I just wanted her, talk to her. To find out who I'm meant to be with.

Luckily for me, she was running straight for my border, and my mind linked my guardians, the gray twins to stop them from running further. And seconds later, I hear them stumble down on the ground.

I don't want her to see me as a threat, so I decided to change into my human form, even though my wolf Nero was hesitant.

But it was as if I could reach her like this. I didn't have a change of clothes with me, so I guess I am going commando. I called for the older wolves to come down to the border and circle up around them. I wasn't going to allow her to escape again, not without an explanation.

I could hear Gabe, one of the guards, was given a race for her fighting skills and I had to intervene. Fast, He was not allowed to harm her in any way, but she could do some real damage to him if needed. I could hear her growling at Gabe and I ordered him to submit under her. Then I revealed myself in the grove where they were fighting, and she immediately let him go, and her red friend rushed to her side for protection. I could feel their strong bond, almost like they were linked in a magical way. But even though the red wolf was small, she still had a way to own the ground below her. I could sense her as strong as a warrior.

My members came in one by one, and they put a barrier around us. I have to get her back to her human form for us to talk. I cleared my throat,

"We need to talk, shift back into your humans, please," I pleaded with her, and my arms stretched out against her. And I could feel my pack members not liking me to bow down to a thug. Because that's how they saw her.

Rogues are something we kept a distance from and we even killed them if they crossed our border in order to protect our own. Since they were usually banished from their ancient packs for breaking laws, being violent, or conspiring against their alpha.

I could feel the tension rising, and this b*tch Neyla began to act aggressively toward my luna. Big mistake.

I corrected her act at the same time the little red wolf caught on fire.

Wow. She's a little mixed, that's why she's so small compared to other wolves.

And very dangerous. My Luna stood her ground beside her and she looked to be immune to the fire.

That would explain the strong bond that I was feeling.

I have always been fascinated with magic, and we have a water element magician under protection since the witch hunt took place fourteen years ago.

My father knew his family well and his mom gave him to us for protection, sadly she was killed a week later. Only a few witches survived the hunt, and a lot of them have managed to stay hidden or have protection from werewolves pack and even vampire families had taken on a few.

The supernatural world is controlled by the major five Alphas and the vampire king. They formed an alliance and took out everyone who dared to cross them and dislodged them fifty years ago. Seeing their ruthless ways took us back a great deal and we allowed them to govern and control. Witches have always been a menace, particularly if they practice black magic. So they decided to remove the threat, causing a mass hunt and thousands of witches were killed.

How could that have happened while we live among humans? The supernatural world can only be seen in some areas and every pack has a protector that can keep our pack invisible to humans. Making us vanish in nothingness.

I need to react, fast. This is bad, really bad. If she can catch on fire, she can do some real damage to my members. "Return to the pack ground, now," I, commanded by the mental bond, and some of them were hesitant, but they obeyed. A few moments later, we ended up alone, the little red wolf, me, and the only woman for whom I would take a silver bullet. But Bardo, the Water Wizard, stood close by, ready to put out the fire if needed.
