Am I Illiterate?

"Hello?" A sleepy voice called out into the darkness. A faint silhouette of a girl with blue hair and a cat tail could be seen walking out of a darkly lit halfway, nightgown down to the ankles, the thin fabric barely hiding a maturing voluptuous body that would have any man lusting after it.

"I could have sworn that I heard something out here. Maybe It was just the stress getting to me." She said, wiping her eyes. It was not until she saw the bloody hand gripping the entrance to the hallway that she knew she was right.

"Who's there?! Come out and show yourself!" She shouted, but was not effective, as her voice was shaking and lips quivering. Still, it seemed like I worked as the mysterious figure came out from behind the wall.

"H-how?" The girl said, taking a step backward, eyes widened in worry. What she saw before her was not a mysterious stranger, but, her father, looking exactly as he did when he saw him getting lowered to the ground.

"My sweet Alisia, I've missed you. However, I feel like I need to take a rest." Her father said if that was her father. Seeing him walking towards him in a staggering motion, blood squirting out of his wounds, she ran up to him and tried to steady him.

"Don't move. I will get Rachel. She'll be able to heal you. You're going to be fine." She said, tears streaming down her face, pooling on the floor. Swirling with the blood. Running back into the hallway, she could still hear her bloodied and broken father say 'I've missed you over and over again.

Heartbreaking, she rushed to the room opposite her, calling out to Rachel. "Rachel, Rachel! Father came back, but he is injured. I need your help now!" The blue-haired girl yelled, voice mixed with agony and impatience. Hearing a grunt come from inside Rachel's room, she waited outside her room until Rachel got out.

"Come with me!" She said, dragging Rachel along the hallway to her dad. However, when they get there, there was no one to be seen. Confused, the blue-haired daughter looked around frantically, thinking that her father left her again.

"Alisia, Father is dead, and there isn't changing that. I know it is hard to accept it, but that is the cold hard truth. Now don't bother me again, I need to sleep." Rachel said with a calm but harsh tone, making her cry even harder.

"But he was right here, I swear! There was blood and guts and…and.." She cried, tears now falling in buckets. Rachel patted her on the back and drew her in for a hug, which soothed her a bit. Ruffling her hair, Rachel went back down the hallway, stumbling a bit on the way to her room.

"It was just a figment of my imagination. I need to get over this if I want to become the village Elder, just like him." She stated, resolve filling her voice. This experience has shown her how much she needed to grow up to become mature enough to lead an entire village.

Grateful that this whole interaction was not real, she silently went back into her room. Thinking that this was just another stepping stone for her to become stronger mentally, she fell asleep with those thoughts running through her mind.

However, what she forgot to notice was a light green ball hanging off of the ceiling of the hut, seeing the whole thing.
