Rainy’s POV
I finally get a spare moment to check my emails after Veronica drops us off at home. It’s getting late. We decided to stop up at The Rooftop for a couple of drinks and something to eat before we got back and I guess I didn’t realize the time.
Cass and I each have half a dozen paper shopping bags with rope handles, and I felt so sophisticated carrying them through the mall with my little all-girl entourage.
I am finally doing the things I always dreamed about doing as a little girl.
Everything except showing my paintings. I need to go through them and pick the ones I am going to hang in my miniature pop-up gallery that I am creating for the evening of the party.
I need to help Sylvia grocery shop for the dinner and the booze.
I tell myself that everything comes at the right time and that I am always in the right time and place, no matter how sh*tty I am feeling about my efforts or lack thereof.
