Chapter 11: Trapped

Fyn pulled himself away from the painful thought that someone from his pack could be hurting his people and looked up at the path he was running down once more. He skidded to a stop with a huff when he realized that he had run back down the path right past Rowan’s house once more. He mentally grumbled as he stared at the darkened house once more. Only the outside light let him know that the power was still on.

This had to stop. Fyn growled at himself as he began racing away. Rowan was a complication that he or his pack really didn’t need right now. Yes, she was beautiful, sweet. Rowan smelled like the sweetest treat he could think of, including chocolate cake, which he was borderline obsessed with. But she was exactly the kind of issue that he should be avoiding not hunting down on a whim.

Maybe if he wasn’t looking for an evil group of kidnappers… maybe, if he was so far away from his pack and his family that he felt their absence like a hole in his soul.
