Chapter 32: Letting Go

Rowan slowly slid her fingers into Fyn’s hair. The soft, dark strands tickled her fingers as she curled them into a fist. She was never one to initiate a kiss or any sort of intimate contact but couldn’t stop herself.

Fyn’s eyes drifted close for a moment, savoring the contact in a way he knew he shouldn’t. Since he was a child, he had always done what was expected of him; always chose the right path. But even if his father was there and threatening to banish him for daring to mate with a human, Fyn knew he was not strong enough to deny what was right in front of him.

He wanted her.

He wanted her to be his, completely and utterly his.

Mate! Fyn’s wolf side screamed at him again, and for the first time, he didn’t deny it.

With a low rumble, his mouth swooped down and took hers in a hungry, passionate kiss that stole the breath from them. His tongue swept in and continued the dance it had started earlier.
