Chapter 32: The Wedding

The next day passed as if she was in a dream.

The spa treatments with her mother and sister, laughing and joking the whole time, then dressing in the beautiful knee-length white dress with a beaded illusion scoop neckline and cap sleeves that she and Eva had found at a bridal shop. It had fit her perfectly, with no alterations needed.

She had eschewed a veil, given the informal style of her dress, instead opting for several pearl hairpins that matched the pearl beads on her dress scattered throughout her curly mass of hair.

Her only jewelry was a pair of pearl chandelier earrings, purchased at the same shop where she’d found her dress. She slipped into a pair of pearl-accented sandal-style heels and her outfit was complete.
