In the days that followed Aunt Flory's fall, Zoey thought a lot about her conversation with Mr. Nelson. It was a huge relief to discover he already knew about her aunt's condition but, more importantly, that he didn't consider it a big deal. The way he'd explained it, Aunt Flory had a physical condition, but it wasn't the tragic secret Zoey had made it out to be in her head.

'Her world felt lighter. Even her headaches disappeared. But she also wondered who else knew. She'd have to rely on her powers of observation until she was ready to bring it up with her. She'd watch Aunt Flory and Dr. Tanner closely when they were together. If Aunt Flory had confided in anyone, he would be the logical choice. He was a doctor as well as her friend. Hadn't he mentioned her "condition" just the other day?'
