Chapter 19: Special

The tri-fold poster lay across the two connected desks as Iris and I stand looking over it. Empty, just a sheet of white under the ceiling lights in the classroom.

Other groups have already started putting their final posters together. From where I am, I see one group is doing ‘Moby Dick’ and another chose ‘Dracula’ as they paste paper that they printed of the titles onto their posters. ‘The Odyssey’ seemed to be the least-liked one among the class, so I don’t think there will be a group also doing that book.

Iris scans the outline we sketched out earlier in the process, her eyes going back and forth between the outline and the tri-fold. “We have a lot more room than we thought, Mika.”
