Chapter 46: Mend (Part II)

Silver Hills Park, a place of joy and laughter, somehow became the center of war. Shrouded in the darkest of energies, so much that I can’t feel the energy of the surrounding plants. Neither can Iris.

The sign that would be at the entrance is nothing, but dust, and the parking lot beyond it is empty, besides the few Mystics that are mentally preparing themselves before starting for the fields, before they find themselves amongst the chaos.

They seem to be messengers, or they’re there to deliver supplies.

Iris and I watch as they band together, agree to travel to the fields with each other to help minimize their fears, taking that first step off the sidewalk and into the grass, their draw-string bags bouncing against their backs with each step.
