Hundreds of years ago, a race of supernatural beings called Mystics and humans went to war, almost resulting in the extinction of Mystic-kind. The Council, often seen as the Gods of all Mystics, created a rule that would prevent this from occurring again-Mystics must mask as human and can't interact with other Mystics to lessen the chance of exposure. Their existence is now only ever written as myth.

Are these stories of history, passed down from Mystic parent to Mystic child true? Or is there something deeper, darker going on?

Michaela (Mika) Corey is an eighteen-year-old Druid who lives her life pretending to be human. She's loyal to the rule, but the seclusion puts her in a box she struggles to fit into. When she meets Iris Blake, her outlook on the human world and Mystic world shifts. Mika is presented with what's true and a task that she can't refuse because the future of Mystics are at stake.

THE DIVIDE

We collect supplies from the hideout to take with us, to put in small backpacks that Lucian provides us. These backpacks are often given to those Mystics that are bringing supplies to the battlefield, but he wants to make sure that we have at least some in case we run into anyone on the battlefield that might need anything and for ourselves. 


There’s water, some snacks, and smaller weapons like throwing knives and shurikens. Mystics in the smithing tent give both of us our own swords, which we keep in their sheaths attached to belts that are around our waists. We say our goodbyes, and Mystics wish us luck. Then, we’re off. 


We leave the safety of the hideout, where everything started, and follow the directions Lucian tells us that leads to the battlefield. The park a few neighborhoods away called Silver Hills Park.
