Chapter 22: Slumber Party

“Parker!” Lissa cried running up to Parker in the halls at school.

Parker was taken aback. She and Lissa had been having lunch together regularly, but beyond that, they mostly just waved and smiled at each other in the halls.

“Lissa,” Parker said with a smile. Lissa grabbed Parker’s hands and bounced up and down on the balls of her feet.

Even with Lucien’s interference, they still hadn’t been as friendly as they were before their big falling out. Parker had expected that to take a lot more time.

“Okay, I know we’ve been hanging out more at school, but I really want you to come to my house tonight. We haven’t had a girl’s night in forever,” Lissa gushed, squeezing Parker’s hands.

“Um…okay,” Parker said, looking around at the weird looks Lissa’s friends were giving them. Lissa didn’t seem to notice or care. Her only focus was on Parker.

“Great, come to my house after school. I have so much to tell you,” she said excitedly.
