“Lucien I…” Damien’s voice trailed off as he entered the room.

Groaning in frustration, Lucien pulled Parker’s shirt back into place quickly. She grabbed the sheet and pulled it up around her, even though she was fully clothed.

Guilt consumed her when she saw the dark look in Damien’s eyes as he quickly looked away.

“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have barged in,” he said. Lucien gave Damien a skeptical look.

He sat back on his knees, finding his shirt to cover himself.

“Good timing,” Lucien sneered.

“I come bearing important information,” Damien said. “It seemed like the kind of thing you’d want to know without delay.”

“I’m sure,” Lucien said, still moody. Parker sighed, dropping the sheet from around her body.
