Chapter 34: Revelations Part 1

Parker wanted to know more about herself. She wanted to know more about her father. She wanted to know more about angels.

She turned to her computer and the Internet as the best source for educating herself. Even if the world at large didn’t think things like angels and vampires were real, she assumed that there was some factual information about them out there on the web.

Doing a generic search engine search for ‘angels’ brought up everything from trending shows, movies, and books to Biblical references and spiritual yogis. Parker had to narrow it down some.

She tried searching for ‘real angels’ and that brought her to sites where people described their encounters with angels. Most of them were near-death experiences or moments of religious clarity. None of it sounded like her father.

He was an angel, a celestial being, but he wasn’t benevolent. He wasn’t there to guide anyone or show them their path. He had impregnated her mother and then abandoned them both.
