A black flash raced across the patch of forest. Being chased by it was a dark red square with one large pupil, It's darkness could not compare to its hunter. The hunter's darkness appeared infinite and dark. It made the square seem like a mere shadow in comparison.
If you stared too long you would be lost in it. Huge clearings of trees where reduced to ash as the square dashed across the forest. Each step making a resounding clap that shook the earth beneath.
Desperate to survive , the square pivoted its foot into the ground completely stopping its speed. The black flash launched a kick to its face, but it was blocked by the square. The square's eye completely dilated turning completely dark. Then, A huge blast of red light emerged from its depths burning the surroundings.
The hunter did not move away from it. The red light stopped mere millimeters from the hunters skin. The square was not surprised at all. Over the last 5 minutes it failed to do any harm towards its pursuer. Any attack it launched would be stopped before it could do any real damage.
No, it's desperate attack was not meant to hurt. He had gave up any chance of winning after its initial attack was thwarted. The square would use the beams blinding effect to buy time. All it needed was a moment, one momment, to run as hard as he could.
As the tension thickened, the moment hung in the air, pregnant with anticipation. The raw power emanating from the square filled the air, pulsating with an ominous red hue that stretched for miles, casting a foreboding shadow over the landscape. The hunter's aura surged, a swirling vortex of darkness ready to consume it.
In the midst of the chaos, the square sensed the impending danger, a desperate realization that survival hung by a thread. With every fiber of its being, it prepared for the ultimate gamble, knowing that failure meant oblivion. The stakes couldn't be higher; it was now or never.
Then, with a surge of resolve, the square unleashed its Magnum Opus, a final act of defiance against the encroaching darkness. The very fabric of existence trembling under the weight of their flash.
In the aftermath, as the dust settled and the echoes of their confrontation faded, there was nothing but desolation. The once vibrant landscape lay in ruins, consumed by an abyss of blackened rock.
As the dust cleared, a figure emerged from the ruins, the young prince of elves, Satoru, his premature white hair a stark contrast against the bleak backdrop. Though outwardly composed, frustration burned within him, his calm facade betraying the seething rage beneath the surface.
Satoru stood alone, mulling over his defeat. After some moments his frustration subsided, he waved his hand in a circular motion and disappeared from the spot.
Far away from the battle site layed an exhausted red square. It's gamble did not come without side effects. It's eye returned to normal, but it was bleeding profusely. It's body was deformed, it's abdomen had a large hole, and it's legs where destroyed from the pressure exerted on them.
It had never been pushed to this limit by anything in his hundreds of years if battle. It knew hadn't the hunter been playing with him it would of stood no chance. Suddenly, a humanoid figure emerged from the bushes. The surroundings seemed to be drawn to her, it was a part of her. "What happened!?" the figure rushed to the squares side. Visible worry appeared on her face.
"How did this happen?" She calmed herself. "It was some monster in the glades. N-none of my attacks worked. I stood…no…chance." It uttered before passing out. 'What mortal being could push a god to this level.'
The woman quickly took the man inside the town to get help. As she approached the gates of the town her being froze. She dropped down into a kneel before the man. Cold bead of sweat streaked across her forehead. "Lord I-indrath, this humble servant greets you!" She squeaked out. "What is this?" He asked. "My lord, I found him like this in the outskirts of the town. I immediately rushed her-".
"I don't care. What happened." He demanded leading some of his aura leak out. She could feel his aura suffocating her as she spoke. "H-he was attacked by a monster in the beast glades. No attacks worked on it he said just…bef-ore…" she was too out of breath to continue. Indrath lifted his aura off of her seeing this.
"You did well, I'm taking you both. I need to know more about this "monster" capable of hurting us." The woman did not hear a single word as she passed out already.
The group vanished from the spot only leaving a small gust of wind in their wake.
*somewhere in the Elven Kingdom*
"Achooo!" Satoru sneezed. "Who's talking about me?" He asked out loud granting strange looks from the people around him.
